Trump's latest argument to dismiss the indictments won't hold much water. In fact it is laughable. Special prosecutors have regularly been used by the Federal government and their appointments are completely lawful. Trump argues Smith unlawfully appointed in documents and election cases https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-argues-smith-unlawfully-appointed-documents-election-cases/
This house of cards is falling quickly. The U.S. president is untouchable and he has to be. People voted and it has consequences.
I figured this would be a good thread to resurrect. So much winning. So much losing, too, by the liberals who posted much of the content in here. Too funny. In the end, a total and complete failure. Trump won - probably because much of this stupidity and lawfare. Well done.
Conviction is back on the menu, boys. Judge rules Trump does not have presidential immunity protections in hush money conviction https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/16/politics/trump-immunity-hush-money-conviction-merchan/index.html
As I expected, the 34x convicted felonies would remain because shutting up a porn star from talking about their fucking without condoms and cheating on his wife to prevent losing the 2016 election is not an official act of the U.S. Presidency. The above is why I've been putting more emphasis on the recent meeting between Biden and Trump...Biden has more respect for the Oval Office than Trump. Therefore, Biden does not want to see Trump inaugurated as the first U.S. President to be a convicted felon. Simply, I believe those two old farts struck a deal at their private meeting...a deal that involves Pardons. Trump will kiss the ring of Biden so that Biden can give Trump a Pardon before the January inauguration of Trump. Thus, Trump will do what Nixon did but the difference is Nixon was out of the White House whereas Trump is re-entering the White House. The gesture by Biden may bring the divided America a little closer. Therefore, I believe that Trump agreed to prevent future legal actions against Hunter or that Trump decided not to pardon the rioters of January 6th, 2021 who attacked, and injured Capitol police officers...a few who would later commit suicide. The latter makes more sense to me because Trump once called the actions of the rioters on January 7th, 2021 a "heinous attack by criminals" regardless of changing his mind by whitewashing what happened on that day for votes by calling it A Day of Love a week before the 2024 November elections. Unprecedented change of history, Trump is now dependent on a Pardon to wipe away those felony convictions before his inauguration day from the person that beat his ass in the 2020 Presidential election. WXB and GXB have a huge disappointment coming. The case will be overturned on appeal and I expect a Writ of Mandamus to be put forth very shortly. The case will come to an end. These posters don't understand anything concerning jurisprudence.
A lot of deals in Washington during this transition period from one administration to the next administration...
