It is probably best to delay sentencing in this case until after the election. In my opinion, Judge Merchan made the right call. Delaying the sentences avoids any controversy over "election interference". Judge in Trump's hush money case delays sentencing until Nov. 26 The former president had been trying for months to delay his sentencing. https://abcnews.go.com/US/judge-trumps-hush-money-case-delays-sentencing-nov/story?id=113194530
Can you imagine the Trump camp continually pushing "election interference" prior election day if Trump was sentenced in September and having his riled-up supporters violently attacking polling stations on election day. This decision avoids any appearance of impropriety related to the election. Or to state it as Judge Merchan did -- 'Judge Juan Merchan delayed sentencing until after the election "to avoid the appearance -- however unwarranted -- that the proceeding has been affected by or seeks to affect the approaching Presidential election in which the Defendant is a candidate."'
We learned that at any given time a new candidate can be installed to lead a party...In the future the Democrats could install a fascist to help complete their move to capture the power of the Government The public has one option. REDUCE THE POWER THE GOVERNMENT HAS OVER YOUR EVERYDAY LIVES Always vote for smaller Goverement
Judge Merchan is a smart guy. He knows that Trump has constantly been blaming the justice system, and prosecutors for election interference before the 2024 November elections. Judge Merchan also knows the Supreme Court punted the immunity issue back down to the lower courts to decide which of what Trump did falls under "official acts" and which are "unofficial (personal) acts" to determine which indictments qualify under which type of acts. I expect a few of the indictments to be thrown out by prosecution so that they can concentrate of the indictments the lower courts decide are "unofficial (personal) acts". Therefore, he knows Trump can not be tried until the lower court decides which indictments to keep and which to toss out...all of which can be decided soon after the elections even if Trump wins and before he's sworn in as President. I will say it again, do not be shocked if Trump loses the November 2024 election resulting in him not having the ability to get these criminal cases erased. Trump takes a plea deal because he has lost the primary reason for him to become President of the United States...a plea deal to avoid prison and beat the criminal cases from going to trial that were delayed... It will be the end of the Trump GOP, Trump no longer in politics agreed upon in the plea deal to avoid prison, and a chance for the GOP to find a new face not connected to any of the Trumper bullshit. As stated, the 2024 U.S. Presidential elections will be historic. Movies and books will be written about the year of 2024 politics. It has porn stars, failed assassination attempts, Covid beating down a President, First Woman President, First Gentleman that's Jewish, a teenager in the White House with tattoos, another teenager in the White House that has a non-verbal learning disorder that people all over the U.S. will mock while on their way out of a job, No former Republican President wants to endorse Trump, a former President taking a plea deal to avoid prison... Wow, and we still have several more months to go before the end of the year. wrbtrader
If you truly believe in smaller government then your only option is libertarian. Trump is literally talking like a dictator. I am still shocked that the trump campaign said that everyone convicted of a felony should do jail time but he shouldn’t.
