Let's look at her testimony about the added front door on her house and many other claims... an entire string of lies --- over & over & over. What the Democrats did to Brett Kavanaugh set a new low for politics in America. However they established that the practice is perfectly acceptable for bringing a woman to make false claims from decades ago. Now the same playbook is being used on Biden. Hope Democrats enjoy eating their own dogfood.
Really? That is the dream you're putting yourself to sleep with every night? I have to admit, as dreams go, that is a special one!
The word you're looking for is "factual", as in: "it's a fact Brett committed perjury when giving testimony in congress"
I agree that a she said / he said case 30 years late is beyond problematic however that the FBI ended their investigation without interviewing either Ford or Kavanaugh is peculiar to me and I don't trust Senator Grassley's summary. Politically driven once the complaint was received? Timed? Yes though there is a bit of damned if you do, damned of you don't for Nancy even without motivation to fuck with Mitch. Ford.. Yes I see inconsistencies just if I had to bet my life on it and not playing was not a choice, I would say yes, she believed it happened and I did not see enough evidence from Kavanaugh's diaries etc. to say it did not. I checked her background, got past all the stuff the twats here were going on about having found the wrong person on rate my professor and stuff. I read comments from past students and she seems a sensible lady. Politics, it is, but everything in politics is politics. One day we can go back to the 80s in VanDamme's time cop sled and check.
Ford went under oath twice. She gave an interview to the FBI and she went before the Judiciary Committee. There was a witness who could have corroborated her claim. He went on the lam because he was Kavanaugh’s friend and he didn’t want to talk but the media found him hiding in Delaware. Republicans refused to compel to testify. Reade has refused to place herself in that sort of legal jeopardy when it comes to Biden. Right now, she is protected by the First Amendment, though Biden could sue her. The statute of limitations has run out but that is something for a judge to decide. Nothing is stopping her from going on the record and face the risk of filing a false police report, as Ford did. Reade has lied about saying no one in the mainstream media will interview her. Joy Reid has invited her on her show. She had an interview on Fox but she cancelled that. She will only sit down with a Bernie Sanders’ dead-ender who wants Biden to drop out. She’s gone public with her allegations but has done nothing to make her case.
Personally, I thought the case for Kavanaugh having lied under oath about peripheral matters was compelling, regardless of what one thought of the Ford accusations. The one witness that might have been able to confirm whether the event in question happened was not contacted by the FBI. Apparently, this was because of limitations on the scope of the investigation placed on the FBI by the Senate committee. Their was sufficient evidence presented, however, to leave no reasonable doubt that, as a student, Kavanaugh made a regular habit of getting drunk and assaulting young women. Even after the hearing ended, former class mates continued to come forward with tales of his misadventures, all at least consistent with Fords Testimony. It's obvious Trump did not nominate Kavanaugh because of brilliance on the Bench -- The ABA had down graded him. Dick Durbin once called him the Forrest Gump of Republican Politics. Review of his legal career would suggest he is at least the equal of that when it comes to legal argument. Kavanaugh once authored an obscure article in the Minnesota Law Review in which he argued that a President is "too busy" to be indicted. That may have been what convinced our Jackass President that Mr. Brett Kavanaugh was his man.
I remember some controversy about that that came out later. Something about the door having been added for some other purpose, was it rental of part of the house maybe? Anyway when I looked this stuff up it was completely unclear, to me anyway, whether she was talking about her husband wanting an extra door removed and her wanting to keep it. There was also something about being afraid of flying, and yet flying places. Although that's inconsistent, it is nevertheless a rather common inconsistency. I mean there are some places you just can't get to unless you drive, take a bus or fly. Given those choices someone afraid of flying may fly anyway and be irrationally fearful the whole time. It looks more to me as though there was a lot of grasping at straws in a not very convincing, to me, attempt to discredit her testimony. There was a lot more investigating that could have been down if both parties would have agreed to it. But there can be absolutely no question that Kavanaugh lied when he said he did not know who Bart was. And he was under Oath! Why did he lie?
