Credit Cards

  1. I would suggest first of all making your main card a VISA, just simpler and accepted around the globe.

Now, you need to find the individual lending outlet or retailer that will extend you the best VISA card. This all really subjective.

Personally I love Cabela's stuff and use a VISA card through them to make most of my purchases. I am usually able to rack up about $200 - $300 buck in free merchandise per year through their rewards system. I use this to supplement my hunting and fishing habits.

I also use Discover as my second choice card because they give cash back and I can get up to 5% reward bounus. I put stuff like gas on that one.

Of course the most important thing is wise use of your credit and proper self-control. I always carry a 0 balance forward even though I put most of my monthly bills on them.

Personally I'd skip Mastercard. I've found even American Express to be better than them, but AE isn't as widely accepted due to their fees to merchants.

    Good Luck!
