Credit Card Companies Plan On Punishing Cutomers Who Don't Carry Balances

  1. Never mind that. The laws preventing check fraud etc are weaker than the laws and rules governing credit card fraud. You can't check wash a CC either. This bites I am one that pays all with CC and pays off.

  2. there are so many hypocrites here. ET is the land of free market thinkers and capitalism yet people are opposed to businesses charging fees? shit, if you don't like it then cancel your cards.

the cc companies can charge whatever the hell they want. it's YOUR choice to be their customer.

  3. We should all know it's about balance....... and the terms some of these companies put out were ridiculous and usury to the max. As bad as the pay day loans. Higher than normal fine, but 20% plus c'mon that's a scam.

  4. My complaint emanates from the fact that our esteemed government has passed legislation that benefits deadbeats, and passes the costs of this legislation onto the responsible.

However, your point remains, and is a good one. If my credit card companies seek to impose fees or conditions on me that are materially different than in the past, to subsidize all those deadbeat customers, I'll simply torch my cards and pay cash or with a debit card, period, from now on.

  5. True. Whatever the CC companies do, issues will eventually balance out to some level tolerable to card holders.

Fine, but if I cancel my cards and pay cash, then I have to pay more to subsidize the credit card companies because they have rigged the merchant pricing system (in most jurisdictions).

Can you imagine if AARP rigged things so that if you didn't have one of their membership cards you would have to pay more for groceries.

Credit card companies are exploiting a special privilege that enriches them at the expense of millions of Americans. It is un-American. It is time for a class action lawsuit to stop this monopoly.

Either you work for a financial firm and are spewing their non-sense or you are a fucking idiot.

If a bank only makes a 1.5% split on a transaction fee and they pay you a 2-4% rebate and give you an interest free loan where the fuck do you think that extra money comes from? Do the math if you are capable of doing it.

People who have balances and pay late fees are SUBSIDIZING your rebate card you fucking welfare queen. This is socialism and you are obviously a socialist with your hand out expecting others to pay your way.

    Get a life you freeloader!

What name is he called if he also pays his mortgage and car payment on time?

Ooh, ooh... what about if he actually saves some of his money?
