I would like to brush up on my programming skills thats one of the main reasons I want to do this. I do believe watching the DOM helps in conjunction with charts (especially for shorter term trades). ozzy
DO you mean DOM or price ladder, they are different although often a price ladder incorporates a DOM(depth of market).
I'm not really sure what you want to know. If you're seeking to create something like IB's book trader, I can give you a few pointers (no pun intended) to doing it in Java.
