Here are some of my crazier and unfounded ideas about stock action: a) Some stocks will trade in such a way to look good on a weekly or monthly chart (for instance, post some consecutive weekly dojis) even if the daily chart is a mess. b) stocks will often rise on low volume and no news, then collapse on a secondary offering. (See RJET). c) stocks will close right at a key level ahead of an important event, whether the event is expected or not. d) The choppier the daily or weekly volume, the more real the buying is likely to be. e) weak stocks will often close right below a key moving average heading into earnings or a key announcement. Please share some of your more crazy/paranoid/baseless ideas.
