crazy christian:all legislation should be cleared by preachers before passing

  1. Yep, we should take religion out of government. Now my religion says that stealing is wrong. We better get rid of all the laws that put people in jail for stealing now. It also says that killing is wrong. We better also get rid of that law and free all the murderers, too. After all...we dont want religion in our government.

Also in the bible it says that to be clean, you must wash under running water. Forget that. Don't allow the government to make the doctors wash their hands under running water anymore before surgery. Let them use a bowl of water that they can just keep reusing over and over like they did in the 1800s (when 70%+ of surgery patients died from infections). Hey it will save water too!

  2. I understand where you're coming from - many combative atheists were raised in catholic institutions and saw thru the hypocrisy at an early age.

Yet, who can find fault with the bedrock of The Rule of Law, which this country was founded on:

You shall put no gods before Me (the Eternal One, the Self Existent One who created all life)
You shall not make any image of any likeness of any thing on the earth, under the earth, or above the earth; to fall down before and worship them (the State is not a god who can solve all your problems!)
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain (how many people say "Jesus Christ" as a curse?!?)
Remember the Sabbath, and keep it holy (yes the seventh day, not the first)
Honor your mother and father, that your days may be long on the land that the LORD has given you (how many haters of the patriarchal family unit live long and prosper?!?)
    You shall not kill
You shall not commit adultery (anyone who divorces his wife causes her to commit adultery; any man who marries her who is divorced commits adultery)
    You shall not steal
You shall not give false witness
You shall not want your neighbor's wife, house, car, status (attempting to keep up with the consumption habits of others is SIN)

How different the world would be if man only believed, and obeyed his MAKER

Even Obama claims to talk to Abraham Lincoln through a picture on his desk; a man who BELIEVED and OBEYED these laws!

Living by laws like that would mean theocracy. Careful what you preach for.

  4. Of course, all religions preach good stuff, common sense stuff, all the same pretty much. Big deal, so what? You don't think you could put 5 people of any faith or no faith at all that could agree that stealing is bad?

  5. Obviously we can't, some people think stealing via proxy is a virtue when it's done by the govt on their behalf.

  6. Gotta admit that there is some pretty bad stuff in the religious journals of all faiths too, IMO.
