Cramer does not suck as a trader. But he did make a stupid policy decision for his TV show NOT to recommend shorts or micro-caps, or options (even though he was an option heavyweight during his Cramer-Berkowitz days). Rarely mentions futures role in the markets too. Very sad. He boxed himself into a corner. Confessions of a street addict is a very insightful book, some of his more recent works are just toilet paper though. And, yes, ... to your point, his market insights are very valuable. He has a very prescient take on market sentiment.
