i saw a short clip/interview with him, and he didn't come off as a fraud, as if one could decide something from this time will tell, i guess; or maybe it won't in the end, i don't care that much; i just own some bitcoins, is all... marc
I saw probably the exact same clip and he came off as a dishonest fakerimundo. The body language spoke for itself. But anyway, just wanted to share this incredibly long, but very detailed write up: https://www.nikcub.com/posts/craig-wright-is-not-satoshi-nakamoto/ Now let's make something clear. He is promising to move some coins in the next few days. What most people don't get is, that moving the coins only prove ACCESS to the coins but not his IDENTITY. A better proof would be signing the key, but even that could only mean access. Now someone might ask, then what would be the real proof? To me, someone who has writings in the style of SN and speaks in the manner of him not to mention behavior, like trying to avoid the spotlight. None of these describes Wright, who is most likely a narcissistic, pathological conman. And I would like to get a real good, plausible story about the last 7 years, where the coins are and why, how come that he hasn't really spent or donated those coins, the whole 9 yard, etc. Other then that, he is just an impostor trying to fleece people and the Aussie government...
Craig is a fraud. My guess is Satoshi is Nick Szabo "Nick Szabo is a computer scientist, legal scholar and cryptographer known for his research in digital contracts and digital currency. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1989 with a degree in computer science.[1] The phrase and concept of "smart contracts" was developed by Szabo with the goal of bringing what he calls the "highly evolved" practices of contract law and practice to the design of electronic commerce protocols between strangers on the Internet.[2][3] Smart contracts are a major feature of cryptocurrencies[4][5] and the E programming language.[6] Szabo influentially[7] argued that a minimum granularity of micropayments is set by mental transaction costs.[8][9] In 1998, Szabo designed a mechanism for a decentralized digital currency he called “bit gold”. [10][11] Bit gold failed to garner widespread support, but has been called ‘a direct precursor to the Bitcoin architecture.’ [12]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Szabo Szabo is now building on the Ethereum blockchain.
Nick Szabo is a good candidate but here is another plausible theory: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4hnbli/did_someone_rule_out_kleiman_wrights_dead_friend/ Kleiman being Satoshi would explain Craig's behavior and why he needed a supercomputer. Kleiman was carrying a heavy duty USB stick on himself at all times before he died in 2013....
Yeah this could be true as well. Also, SN could also be a name for the small group that started it and possibly Nick Szabo was a part of the very early "group". Interesting nonetheless.
I am just putting this up for easy access: "Kleiman and Wright wrote a computer forensics paper together in 2008. So they knew each other some how. Also, Wright continued collaborating with Kleiman on computer security work. For example Kleiman's 2011 book The Official CHFI Exam 312-49: For Computer Hacking Forensics Investigators lists Craig Wright on the cover as a contributor. Also, it was Kleiman not Wright who was active on the Metzdowd mailing list since 2004, the list where Satoshi made the first Bitcoin announcement in 2008." https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4htw3t/how_to_steal_54_millions_of_dollar_from_the/
The conman is giving up the con, saying goodbye on his blog: I’m Sorry I believed that I could do this. I believed that I could put the years of anonymity and hiding behind me. But, as the events of this week unfolded and I prepared to publish the proof of access to the earliest keys, I broke. I do not have the courage. I cannot. When the rumors began, my qualifications and character were attacked. When those allegations were proven false, new allegations have already begun. I know now that I am not strong enough for this. I know that this weakness will cause great damage to those that have supported me, and particularly to Jon Matonis and Gavin Andresen. I can only hope that their honour and credibility is not irreparably tainted by my actions. They were not deceived, but I know that the world will never believe that now. I can only say I’m sorry. And goodbye. ---------------------------- So did I win an Ethereum?
