You should check with your broker. Some are offerring the platform for free to their traders.
CQG is charging them $25/month + $.25 per filled contract. Unlimited number of markets, unlimited number of accounts and there is a cap that is set with every FCM.

  3. Hey, when you say "unlimited number of accounts", Do you mean the $25/month charge encompasses all accounts you have or is it on a per account basis? Not sure I got that part.

    Thanks.

This charge is per user per broker. Whether you use 1 account or 100 the charge is $25/month.

Unfortunetly , my darn broker says otherwise. They say that with each account I have with them (and I have two) , I need to pay the $25/month charge separately. bastards.

Can you point me to some official person from CQG that can confirm what you're saying? This would really help me out.

    Thanks!

  7. Thanks. In that case, yshterk, may I PM you about this? I understand you guys are about to bump up the price of the CQG Trader platform. Broker here says seperate monthly fee per account, so I need your assistance on this one.

Just out of curiousty, not sure if someone's asked or answered already, but how much does the full CQG suite cost, roughly? Per month? Including charting and streaming news?

I'm a current reuters user and have a package setup specifically for commodities (energy), but also includes FX and equity index quotes. Does anyone know if CQQ offers something similar?

Yes, CQG has the energy commodities, FX and equity index quotes. It also has the news from DJ, MNI and others. The cost will depend on which features of the program you will use, the complete charting package starts at $595/month and includes a lot of functionality. There are more add-ons after that like trading the commodity markets, ability to create trading systems, API, etc. There are CQG price lists posted in other threads, so check them out or contact CQG at http://www.cqg.com/Support/Product-Pricing-Form.aspx.
