    yoy inflation 3.8%
    yoy core 2.1%

    Like the Housing is Rolling Along 2 thread, I expect this to be moved to chit chat because it has something to do with the real world.

  4. How come when energy prices are up big, they say oh, there is no inflation because only the core figure counts, but of course when energy prices are down and the core is actually up, they say there is no inflation- ignore the core???????????

    3.5% for the year
    2.2% core CPI

    For December
    CPI -.1%
    core .2%

    Woe to the wallet!
