A Running List of Right-Wing Politicians and Media Figures Who Downplayed the Virus But Skipped the Line to Get a Vaccine https://jezebel.com/a-running-list-of-right-wing-politicians-and-media-figu-1845927776/amp Going into the last shopping days before Christmas, I assumed the super-hot gift that everyone wanted but only the connected and wealthy would get would be the new PlayStation 5. But as it turns out, the real gift is a fresh dose of the covid vaccine—and, just like the PS5, there’s a long f@cking line to get one. But as is the usual case in the country with some of the worst healthcare systems of any high-income nation, there’s been a bit of line cutting. In what the White House described as a “continuity of governance” plan, members of Congress will be among the first in the country to get vaccinated against covid—even the ones who spent months denying the severity of the virus, shirking social distancing, and blasting mask mandates because of Trump’s deadly strategy that herd immunity was the way to go. So let’s look with envy upon some of the worst a$$holes who get this great gift for doing absolutely nothing! (running list in article)
Those people that are covid-deniers, on record in stating they do not believe in the science of face mask or backed Trump when he called it a Democratic Hoax... They should be place last in line for the vaccination shots. Yet, if they were to denounce there prior statements along with an apology...sure...let them get vaccinated if they want with the rest of congress. wrbtrader
I think a lot of Covid deniers really don't want to believe such a horrible thing can exist in this world.
The people a few houses down from my 2nd home in the U.S. are Covid-deniers and my family know whom they are so that they do not associate with them nor their small children. In contrast, congressional members and the President are a different thing...their opinions may have caused thousands of deaths via convincing others to not put on a face mask, attend a crowed local event, go to over-crowded bars just because the leaders were able to get them to believe the same crap. Simply, they had a responsibility to the American people and they failed via making a health crisis a political event instead of dealing with it as a health crisis. Just as ironic, the same idiots voted the shut down the economy for something they thought was just like a cold or the flu. It's the main reason why they put all their faith in the vaccines back in April through the summer...why they said it will "just go away on its own". Now we know the president knew back in February that it was deadly and airborne and his accomplices still publicly downplayed it with him. Now they get to be vaccinated for something that they downplayed, refer to it as a democratic hoax, refer to it as the flu / common cold and then help to shut down the economy... Madness The congressional leaders that spoke up and did not support that Madness...those representatives should be first in line while the other idiots should wait in back of the line with the rest of us until we can get vaccinated by next spring. That includes the entire Trump administration, press secretaries, talk show hosts, fox news media, newsmax media...call them all out...put everyone of them in back of the line. Nearly 320,000 Covid-19 death...had they pretended to care...maybe there would be less than 50k Covid-19 deaths and I say that because there are other countries that did not lockdown and took Covid-19 very serious...they believed in the science right out of the gate. wrbtrader
Like I've said before. These people are simply bullshitters. Don't argue with a bullshitter, about their bullshit. Just call them out with facts. Just as Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham etc. initially told the truth about trump, but later told bullshit; so too are all these folks downplaying the virus and claiming the election was stolen. They are simply evil people. And will do what evil people do.
So that's your excuse now? And so what about voting for Trump twice? Was that about not wanting to believe what a fucking asshole Trump really is?
Dr. Drew, Who Once Called COVID a ‘Press-Induced Panic,’ Gets COVID https://www.thedailybeast.com/dr-dr...e-pandemic-a-press-induced-panic-has-covid-19 California-based TV doctor Drew Pinsky, better known as Dr. Drew, tested positive for COVID-19 five days ago and is receiving monoclonal antibody infusions after other treatment drugs failed to make him better, he said in a Wednesday night video on Instagram. He said his symptoms included a fever, body aches, inflammation in his chest, high pulse rate, and feeling “neurologically... out of it.” “Every day now has become like Groundhog Day,” he said. “I feel like shit but not terrible.” The celebrity doc, a regular guest on Fox News, apologized in April for calling the emerging coronavirus crisis a “press-induced panic” in February. “My early comments about equating coronavirus with influenza were wrong,” he said. However, in a Tuesday evening post about his recovery, he thanked “Dr. Zelenko”—presumably the controversial New York doctor who has touted dubious treatments. Read it at Yahoo
