What a surprise... you won't tell us why... you said this... But... this is the bullshit you wrote to start this... so we will start from there. "Once again we have idiots who don't know the difference between the Case Fatality Rate (CFR) and Infection Fatality Rate (IFR)." How the can you claim experts from Stanford are confusing the CFR and IFR? So tell us why they are confused.

Yes, let me amend that statement for these Stanford clowns... Once again we have idiots who are deliberately misleading people about the difference between the Case Fatality Rate (CFR) and Infection Fatality Rate (IFR) in order to drive their political agenda.
you loser... you won't even back up your own statement... you are a Covid Clown. They are professors from Stanford. The mislead no one and they got nothing wrong. You have been confused this whole time. And now that you realize it... you won't even explain why you said they were confused. CFR was never the right ratio to use to set policy... during a pandemic.
Yes, let me amend that statement for these Stanford clowns... Once again we have idiots who are deliberately misleading people about the difference between the Case Fatality Rate (CFR) and Infection Fatality Rate (IFR) in order to drive their political agenda.
Guess what...Newsome was most like an idiot for shutting down our beaches... and the assholes in San Diego shutting down are hiking trails without data and without science.. Was it not obvious that a healthy immune system could be key? Vitamin D Levels may be linked to Covid outcomes... https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/05/200507121353.htm May 7, 2020 Source: Northwestern University Summary: Researchers analyzed patient data from 10 countries. The team found a correlation between low vitamin D levels and hyperactive immune systems. Vitamin D strengths innate immunity and prevents overactive immune responses. The finding could explain several mysteries, including why children are unlikely to die from COVID-19. ... much more at link... By analyzing publicly available patient data from around the globe, Backman and his team discovered a strong correlation between vitamin D levels and cytokine storm -- a hyperinflammatory condition caused by an overactive immune system -- as well as a correlation between vitamin D deficiency and mortality. "Cytokine storm can severely damage lungs and lead to acute respiratory distress syndrome and death in patients," Daneshkhah said. "This is what seems to kill a majority of COVID-19 patients, not the destruction of the lungs by the virus itself. It is the complications from the misdirected fire from the immune system." This is exactly where Backman believes vitamin D plays a major role. Not only does vitamin D enhance our innate immune systems, it also prevents our immune systems from becoming dangerously overactive. This means that having healthy levels of vitamin D could protect patients against severe complications, including death, from COVID-19. "Our analysis shows that it might be as high as cutting the mortality rate in half," Backman said. "It will not prevent a patient from contracting the virus, but it may reduce complications and prevent death in those who are infected." Backman said this correlation might help explain the many mysteries surrounding COVID-19, such as why children are less likely to die. Children do not yet have a fully developed acquired immune system, which is the immune system's second line of defense and more likely to overreact.
as I surmised on April 14... When someone credited Social Distancing... and wearing face masks... I wrote... Or... CA had it much earlier and we already had heard (sic) immunity. Or... CA has fewer at risk people that were likely to need hospitalization Or... Ca is not as densely packed. or... the ramps were completely wrong. Or it was all a factor... but we are healthier and have more sun and refused to stay inside at first... Immune system health may be vital to preventing hospitalization. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...rus-deaths-as-california.343233/#post-5069997
You're precisely the kind of guy who unnecessarily gets the virus. The way you are talking about it reminds me of the people in Florida who build their homes in flood zones and cross their fingers that another hurricane doesn't hit.
Jem gets pleasure making things run as long as possible, his goals on ET are perverse. I mostly feel bad for his wife. We should reach out and tell her she is not alone, many others understand the unpleasantness.
I am precisely the kind of guy who will catch it and so are you.. unless you self isolate or it burns out on its own. (Until we get a vaccine) Your comment is exactly the reason I am so passionate about this. The shutdown is not preventing you from infection.. it is only delaying it. If you want to stay infection free... you as an individual will have to self isolate. We are not going to be shutdown forever. If the virus has as high an R0 as they say... we will all get it... unless we individually choose to isolate. The shutdown is doing a great deal of harm and really saving us nothing with low risk groups. Now... the real question... if and when I catch it will it take me out. It may. But, I am doing all I can to make sure I have a strong immune system. Hiking or running everyday. Lifting in my garage every other day. Eating healthy. Low carb alternating with lowish carbs. Veggies and fruit (hence the lowish). .
I clicked around today and saw many comments from the fear mongers claiming we can not build up immunity. (which I know is a lie... we don't know for sure we achieve immunity but the probability is that after clearing Covid some will have immunity for some period of time...) However, lets say we don't build natural immunity... does that mean a vaccine will not be found? Or, is there some area of possible outcomes where we can't build natural immunity but a vaccine can still prevent Covid?
Deaths in Sweden Today massively dropped... to 6. New Cases dropped to 401 This data is from GWB's link... https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus//country/sweden/ I saw this info about South Korea... In other words, the new research suggests that if a patient is re-diagnosed with COVID-19 after recovering, it's unlikely he or she will be able to infect others. Still, the KCDC cautioned, it's unclear how long those antibodies last. Until we have that key piece of data, the jury is still out on whether mass immunity is possible. https://abcnews.go.com/Health/south...antibodies-protect-covid-19/story?id=70312111 If that is true... it makes Sweden's approach look even better.
