Herd, enough people have had it so can't catch it and/or spread it, basic logic, it'll be around for the next year no doubt. Same happened in London and NYC the places hit first and fast due to density and tube train usage. Fairly obvious if you don't buy into the fear mongering wasn't going to be a massive issue, other than the expected over reaction ofcourse.
They had refrigerator lorries few months back outside covid hospitals, happens peak Flu time. Obviously lockdowns came into effect NYC and London towards the end. Combination of factors. 50% have it with no symptoms 90% get without needing hospital. 30%-50% possibly have immunity left from previous Corona viruses. Still fear Flu mk2 that'll just kill UK 10k per year forever. Well the over reaction to this, not it itself.
They've just said 70%-80% from a study have the Virus with no symptoms, there playing this off as a bad thing, but this is why it's going down, 4x's the people have had it than we think, nice result I think I was basing the math on 75% no symptoms from my own group of mates so, don't discount small studies DIY style. Does disregard the immunity from previous viruses but can live with that, be small if that is the case. They've stopped compiling a lot of the Stat's I've been using, department closed, wouldn't do that if this in the UK wasn't already over, ofcourse 2nd waves in states locked down to soon so didn't just slow it, will scare people into more crappola
Can't be sure, maybe they get symptoms 2 days later but nobody thinks to ask them, or maybe they've had very mild symptoms they've not really noticed. I barely noticed it, but pretty fit, felt a bit tired 4 days, 1 night of temperature and sweating and mild chest pain ( put down to heart condition ) while doing CV in the gym, wasn't until my mates all had it 2weeks later when I realised I'd had it. Quite a lot of people kept it secret aswell, bit of a Stigma people suddenly become scared of you even 14days later and people don't want to lock themselves indoors for 14days, so some of above might be not wanting to get caught not self isolating. UK have stopped updating this... https://www.statista.com/chart/21079/coronavirus-cases-uk-map/ Was charting all of the areas, London was going down very early on when others where going up, but must be over they've closed the Stat's department down or don't want anyone noticing it's over, you choose. Went from +6000 per day to +500 area over the 2months. Dropping Social distancing I hear to 1Metre when the pubs open, although pointless because in doors with aircon/heaters running, will keep it airborne for ages anyway, and to help hospital wise no doubt. You can see the US areas that'll continue higher, hopefully they'll be reduced enough to not put lockdowns on or atleast the release gets it around enough to not get a 3rd wave.
Don't let these 2nd wave reports scare you. There is no second wave. People are going back to the hospitals for their elective procedures, which explains the increase hospitalizations. Hospitals now test everyone for covid anyway, which explains the slight increase in case numbers, majority of which are asymptomatic who would have never been tested otherwise. Nothing to be alarmed about. The riots have died down, so media needs a new story.
They'll be some, the states / countries where the lockdown prevented every one from getting it, still be less than the 1st wave would of been as some have had it, harder the lockdown then the harder the 2nd wave ofcourse. Riots still going on in the UK and loads of TV being banned for being racist, nobody has a sense of humor Sweden, testing increasing but deaths decreasing week after week, so they've hit Herd and nearly over, without lockdowns. WE 3th May week count.. 485 10th.... 546 17th .... 454 24th .... 319 1st july..... 405 8th... 291 14th so far 215 + Sunday ( 3 last week reported ) 5 weeks down 66% area, 10 weeks to <10 per week. +1500 more deaths estimated. No worries here, Covid isn't a big deal, we have had worse just with they've kept it quite and away from the media.
First of all, I am glad you are okay. I hope your mates are okay as well. As to why no one is following through, this is one of the things that frustrate me so much about this pandemic - we're six months, and globally there hasn't been a large study to research this?!
