There is an argument that our infection rates are higher than other countries is because we are doing more tests. 1. We are not doing more tests per capita 2. We are still only testing the symptomatic. Other countries like Germany and South Korea are catching significant numbers of asymptotics 3. We have left the chart despite having an extra week or two more than Europe
rapid testing reveal by Chump/FDA right now. This is pretty big....being able to be tested at work would be good
Sorry, but no. I could understand if we were not on course to have the worst outbreak on the planet but we are and Trumps inaction and downplaying the severity and seriousness of the problem is a major factor in degree of severity.
Not sure whether when you say "anyone" you are referring to yourself or Sleepy Joe. I guess it really doesn't matter. You are both concerned about the epidemic for the same reason.
I disagree, just because he didn’t hit the public panic button, zigged when you though they should have zagged, doesn’t mean they were not taking steps. You don’t yell the proverbial “fire” in a movie theater.
Not yelling fire and claiming Covid wasn’t more dangerous than flu are two different things. Trump was derelict and dismissive and not led by the science. He sat on his hands because he thought more positive tests would hurt his re-election chances. Zigging and zagging isn’t the problem. Faucci said openly we did not have enough tests to be prepared and Birx admitted yesterday we did not act soon enough to contain the virus in a meaningful way. That’s simple preparation stuff. We never even gave ourselves a fighting chance. The right wing media has a lot to do with the delays, too.
