Versus you posting about Covid in Canada seemingly oblivious to the fact that most of the US can only dream of controlling Covid at the levels in most of Canada.
I have close family in South Dakota... They are not happy and scared shitless because a few people in their 40's near their neighbourhoods have recently died from Covid-19. wrbtrader
The tragedy is some of the worst outcomes may come out shortly before the solutions start to roll out. South Dakota is being governed by an avid Covid Denier. It all starts at the top; Trump set the tone with one of the shittiest national strategies on the planet. Covid is like a war, surviving is job #1 and eventually it will all be in the rear view mirror life will return to normal. The blood of many victims due to system wide neglect will be on the record though. Trump will always be the "Covid Denier" and "Election Fraud" President.
Yeah, she's still not allow on the reservation land. In fact, road-blocks still in place in many places to prevent the deniers from taking detours onto Native land. She became angry and tried to take them to court (I think it was a lawsuit) to open up their lands to outsiders during the Pandemic. She doesn't understand the problem with about 24 Coronavirus test kits, 6 ventilators and 4 hospital beds per 50k Sioux members. She just can't relate why the Sioux do not want outsiders especially the deniers to enter their reservation with disease. Something similar that has been happening in Massachusetts @ https://www.leftvoice.org/the-u-s-is-using-covid-19-as-an-opportunity-to-steal-indigenous-land We should soon hear about something similar in South Dakota in a battle with Governor Noem. Regardless, you would think Trump has smarten up from being hospitalized himself with Covid-19 but that lame statement he made that he "now understands" was just a fake statement to try to gather some votes. Glad most Americans didn't believe him. Further, most American's know we would not get the same 24 hour medical care from top doctors early in the infection even if our Oxygen levels were declining fast to dangerous levels. Sadly, The United States has a history of taking Indigenous land during times of Pandemics and Epidemics @ https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/a...er-been-just-disease-native-americans/610852/ wrbtrader
I feel bad for Americans who cannot afford health care and/or can't get financial help right now primarily because of politicians. For the most part, no Canadians are destitute or lacking medical care because of Covid. Collectively we have no problem doing our part to pay down the debt when things go back to normal. I think Canada has a brighter future then some Americans realize the trends are all good everywhere except Alberta and the Oil Patch.
