Actually, I have nothing to say because I don't give a shit about your numbers. As for what other posters push, you'll have to take it up with them. Or can I now hold you accountable for every post by the left on this forum?

    But one week!

Multiple U.S. states are reporting record COVID case and hospitialization numbers nearly every day over the past several days and the trend has already been rapidly accelerating . This is a foregone conclusion.

Let's take a look at just a few recent headlines...

I guess we will see. The good thing for you is that "rapid acceleration" is a subjective term that isn't defined by actual numbers, so you're in your element and able to move the goalposts as needed.

I'm not going to say it can't happen. I try not to discount things before they happen - that's how you work. I like to wait and see. But it sure is fun to take all your claims and supporting claims and throw them in your face when they don't materialize.

What are you going to do when Biden wins and all of a sudden your cut and paste article archive begins to dry up?

So tell us your definition of "rapid accelation" in regards to COVID cases and we will see what the medical community's definition of "rapid acceleration" is for an infectious disease.

Why should I give you my definition of rapid acceleration? I didn't make the claim. I'm not the one on record for moving goalposts.

The article quoted a public health expert, Former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb, stating there would be rapid acceleration of COVID-19. If you are claiming that there is no rapid acceleration -- despite the number of cases and hospitalizations already hitting daily records in multiple states over the past week -- then you need to quantitatively define your figures on what constitutes rapid acceleration of an infectious disease and why the situation we are seeing now and into the upcoming weeks does not meet that definition.

Didn't we already have this argument at the start of the pandemic and skeptics went real quiet once NY went asymptotic?

I remember because then they went full racist on the "China virus"

I did not make any such claim. All I said was "bookmarked!" This is akin to saying "We shall see if this forecast holds true!"

I don't need to quantify anything, as I am not making the claim. You are (through proxy of the individual you are quoting and supporting).

No idea what this is, as I was never a part of any such conversation (nor can/will you show me any place I was).

You are claiming rapid acceleration is a subjective term -- well if you believe it should be objective then come up with quantitative number than can be tracked for your definition of rapid acceleration of an infectious disease. Then we can compare it to statements from medical and public health experts over the upcoming weeks.

For a starting point -- here is a medical paper that shows the method to calculate "rapid growth" for COVID-19 in a population set. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fmed.2020.00247/full
