See, this is an example of where you simply don't understand logic. If I cannot provide the name of the beach, it is not pure nonsense. You may not believe it based on the fact that I cannot provide the name of the beach, but that doesn't mean there can't be an alternative explanation. You do this a lot. Perhaps the person posting doesn't reply to the question of where this occurred at? Is it a possible fabrication? This is certainly possible if the person does not share the information. But it could also be that they do not see the question posed on Twitter. But you don't get that, because your narrative is in jeopardy.
Bottom Line: An in-depth search of news reveals no beaches closed in the U.S. due to "COVID". The person made unsubstantiated claims on Twitter and does not respond to comments from multiple people on Twitter asking which beach. It's made up bullshiat. If you are presenting an assertion as a fact then you better have the evidence to back it up --- rather than redirecting with "why do I need to prove it" nonsense.
Again, you can believe whatever you wish (and you always do). I am not saying "why do I need to prove it." I am acknowledging that there might be reasons why people want to withhold the data other than acquiescing to some shriek like yourself who wouldn't believe it anyway. This is an individual who is widely followed by some big name financial folks. He wouldn't make it up - but hey, you be you. Attached is my private conversation with him:
This is coming from a Twitter account that pushes COVID conspiracy nonsense continually. It's probably located in Russia.
Are NYC beaches open? Here's what you can and can't do on New York beaches What does it mean that NYC beaches are closed? There is no swimming at the beaches, no sports, no gatherings and everyone must observe social distancing. If you walk on the beach, the Mayor advises New Yorkers to only do it for a limited period of time. De Blasio has also stated that there will be police patrols to ensure people are following the rules and not going in the water. "You'll also see in the [NYC] beaches, which of course are not open; enhanced patrols to keep people safe and to remind people that beaches are not open and to protect against any danger that people will go in the water. You'll see that in the Rockaways, Coney Island, Orchard Beach, and we're going to make sure in terms of addressing those large gatherings, there'll be a dedicated NYPD car in every police precinct that will focus always on being able to get to wherever a large gathering might be to make sure that situation is addressed." Why aren't NYC beaches open? The Mayor warns that beach crowds could easily get out of hand. New Yorkers could spread the virus if left unable to safely social distance while packed onto jammed beaches or gathering in clusters at concession stands and bathrooms. Another issue is that many New Yorkers do not have cars to transport themselves to their beach day. Beaches are mostly accessible by MTA buses and subways, which are primarily being used by essential workers right now. If city dwellers, looking to escape the steamy concrete jungle, jaunt out to beaches by mass transit, it could cause crowded subway cars and buses, risking rates to go back up. And, before you try to grasp at the string that is the article being May 20, please see: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/health/health-topics/beach-homepage.page NYC Beaches Closed for Swimming New York City public beaches are closed for the season. Swimming is not permitted. Beaches will re-open for swimming on May 29, 2021.
NYC beaches and pools are closed for the season in regards to going into the water because they DID NOT HIRE LIFEGUARDS for the season -- which is required to open the pools and beaches within NYC. New York City has a very strong life guard union (you can go read all the other stories about the corruption & leadership of this union).
Ah, so your explanation as to why the beaches are closed is different than the article and the state of New York and DeBlasio's reason. Got it. Why aren't NYC beaches open? The Mayor warns that beach crowds could easily get out of hand. New Yorkers could spread the virus if left unable to safely social distance while packed onto jammed beaches or gathering in clusters at concession stands and bathrooms.
Let's look at the actual statements from the mayor's office. "A spokesperson for Mayor de Blasio confirmed with FOX 5 NY that cuts to the Parks Department caused layoffs to hundreds of seasonal workers, which is the main reason the season has to end, there simply aren’t enough staff and lifeguards available." NYC's beaches and pools close for the season https://www.fox5ny.com/news/nycs-beaches-and-pools-close-for-the-season And you should keep in mind that NYC had a short season this summer when both beaches and pools were opened for swimming - as demonstrated by the article. "The city's beaches closed to swimming at 6 p.m. and pools closed at 7 p.m. on Monday, Labor Day, for the season even though they opened late due to the pandemic." So you are pushing a claim that NYC beaches were closed for swimming all of 2020 due to COVID - which simply isn't true. Likewise the city has documented the closing of the beaches on Labor Day is due to lack of lifeguards and staff. The NYC beaches had opened on July 1st but were still limited due to lifeguard shortages. Many New York City beaches are still closed due to lifeguard shortages https://www.amny.com/coronavirus/ma...-are-still-closed-due-to-lifeguard-shortages/ July, 9, 2020 "Beaches reopened for swimming on July 1 following coronavirus-related closures, but a shortage of lifeguards has kept large sections of shoreline off-limits, causing some beachgoers to crowd into the open bays, locals said. "
