You asked a simple question. I'll give you a simple answer. Because if everyone had your attitude you'd be at much greater risk. We will be getting vaccinated not only for our own protection but for you and your family's protection as well. It would be a nice gesture on your part to return the favor.

Young kids are unlikely to have access to the vaccine for quite some time, even though ~600 Covid deaths among those under age 25 have already been reported in the U.S.

That guy still does not understand or refuses to understand that 1/3 of the population does not know that they have an underlying medical condition.

Regardless, the small percentage of the young that do die or become ill from Covid-19 is one too many.

Yet, by the time the young are vaccinated...they'll have more data about those (older folks) that have been vaccinated. At that time, some schools will require proof of vaccination if someone wants to enroll at the school. Then there's air travel...more airlines are signing up for the "vaccination passport" to be able to board their planes.

The only way around the above is to not travel by air, cruise, trains and no longer go to school.

On a side note, while in France...my kids were not allowed to play with a family of kids that refuse to allow their children to be vaccinated and they were home school to get around the education issue.

I just could not take a chance that one of my kids will bring home an infection that does nothing to them but may cause their grandmother great harm or myself great harm.

Jem seems to continue down that road of refusing to understand the infection transmission process from of a young person that's asymptomatic or has very little symptoms. Seriously, its been explained to him multiple times by others and myself but he's stuck in some kind of a loop.

P.S. One of those kids eventually got polio that later became meningitis. Luckily for us those kids went to a different school than my kids.

    1. I knew you were an ignorant fool... drone... like many on your side who condemn those who take a wait and see approach.

The manufacturers of these vaccines have specifically stated it is unknown if the vaccines provide immunity. So at this point in time you are not taking it for others. Dope....

You lefties are such pre totalitarian govt following mushroom drones...
you don't even take the time to educate yourselves but you are quick to condemn others who are educated.

    b. I said healthy young kids. This virus is hundreds of times less dangerous than the flu for healthy young kids.

Yes, they provide immunity, if your body develops an immunity response from the vaccine. Like how it works with MMR, small pox, varicella, etc etc etc.

Remember when influenza was a thing? Man, seems so long ago!

    It's loony!

These vaccines are being promoted and approved on the basis that during their trials 95% of the people did not have serious Covid complications.

But... vaccinated people could still become infected with Covid.

Hence, if you can still catch Covid... these vaccines may not provide you with any protection for others.
    That is an open question...

Science and data... that is all I ask for..

I really thought a "scientist" like Piezoe would think through these very basic scientific questions..

But.. there seems to be a govt drone gene that so many lefties seem to have.
    Not all ...
but its seems like 97%. (I used that number for a reason)

  6. Flu vaccine..... not 100% immune from flu...but with the vaccine the risks of serious symptoms ghreatly reduced, duration of the illness if caught greatly reduced, at risk people risk of getting flu greatly reduced or if they still get it, having really bad symptoms minimized..

I don't have a crayon here but that is as dumb downed as I can make it..

I do not recall if the 95% of the people "did not have serious complications" in some report, or if their bodies simply did the job their immune systems were trained to do when introduced with a foreign body. Kill the thing.

That's how vaccines generally work. They train your immune system to fight off an invading enemy. I mean, have we ever put this much effort into how effective the influenza vaccine is in preventing transmissibility from one person to the next?

I have a feeling that the COVID vaccine will be like most others...

The body will kill the thing when an innoculated host is infected, so that it would not be transmissible.

These are not vaccines like you know them. They are not decommissioned pieces of covid. They are messengers instructing your body to recognize a piece of a part of the structure of Covid. Its very different.

  9. Yes that's correct. These aren't like the vaccines you've had in the past. It's essentially a genetically modified vaccine. And they don't know for sure what it will do to your DNA.

Also, I have heard the drug companies are completely exempt from liability regarding side effects.

An interesting note. Things that occur in nature cannot be patented where genetically modifed things can be patented. Hence a possible reason why this vaccine is genetcially modified, along with future ones. This is a first of its kind.

  10. The body can also kill itself as a respsonse. It's possible the vaccine triggers an autoimmune response in some people. There is not enough data to know and we may not know until 20 years down the road what some of the serious side effects are.
