13 years ago, SARs caused havoc mainly in China & Hong Kong. European countries and US were hardly affected. Now Europe and US are worst affected by covid even though covid origin was from China. Are Europeans and Americans too complacent thinking covid would be like SARs and history would repeat itself exactly?
What's really alarming is that last week, the confirmed Corona cases topped 500,000. Today, we passed 1,000,000. That is, in just a matter of one week, the number doubled. By next week, we could see 2,000,000 cases.
Just came in... U.S. reports highest single-day coronavirus death toll Washington Post The United States on Tuesday reported more than 1,700 coronavirus-related fatalities, a new one-day high, with some states still to release their totals.
NYC looking good, over the peak, start coming down, deaths still likely triple by the end so 15K or 0.18% way less than the 4% there quoting. ( Italy study 25x's less than expected, seems about right ) That's only 1/33 of the country so 500K if the rest do so bad Expect better so 300K. Likely really 100K actual C19 deaths and 400K normal deaths wrongly classified.
