gee... people, prepare to thousands announced in a few weeks and don't panic; it's the nature of this thing: time-to-market is around 6 weeks. So, what we hear today in the news has a six week latency, akin to the distant stars and galaxies... Nothing to see...
Costco is ALWAYS busy no matter what minute or second or hour it is...must be the free samples the costco fans love...
I’ve been here in Washington state for the majority of my life so I’m aware that Costco is always busy. But in 30 plus years, I’ve never seen a day where you have to wait in line to get into the store. Not to mention, going inside and finding a bunch of empty shelves. This show that fear is High and people are aware of what is going on. When you walk into the streets and see a bunch of people looking like ninjas, it’s probably a good time to buy.
The fatality rate is smol but this virus is extremely contagious, just like china product Quality < Quantity. The death toll could be much higher if the virus spread wide enough. The situation in Korea and Italy proved how fast this virus can spread between community. Furthermore, the more it spread the more it can mutate (there is no way we could have zombie tho ). I guess the situation will get better when summer come (i live in the rice field, the weather is hot and the virus being controlled pretty good, no new case nor fatality case in my country). And when the summer over, China must have developed a vaccine already (this is emergency situation so i guess some regulations can be bypassed). I guess this pandemic could be wrapped up in 2020 alone Sorry for bad englik
The South Korea cohort is the best estimate for the death rate since they test much much more people than China, Europe and the US. They even have drive through testing. The death rate in South Korea is 0.6%. Even South Korea will miss the mild cases. On the other hand it takes time from when you are infected until you die. But 0.6% is a good estimate.
Time 2 - 4 weeks of treatment to pull through from the look of it, so the death rate lags behind likely making it look better than it is. You need to compare the diagnosed say 3 weeks prior to the current death rate.
Found this to have a good visual development of the spread.. and as a bonus, comes with a news feed that highlights the latest reported cases https://thewuhanvirus.com/
