Yes, hospitalizations peaked on January 8th, the death curve peak was on January 21th-22nd. (Occasional data dump peaks happen, but the deaths don't happen that day.)

So we have been in the down curve of the 3 wave in the US in the last 3 weeks. Hospitalizations actually fell to 50% of the peak. Since death usually lags 2-3 weeks, the fall off should be coming this week. And this is mostly without the effect of vaccination.

The last 2 days had back to back 2-2MM/day vaccination rates. This shows that the infrastructure is already there (and still expanding), so as long as the drug makers can supply it, and people are willing to take it, we are doing really good.

40 MM vaccines have been administered so far. Biden's 100 MM shots in 100 days will be easily achieved, my guess is probably 160-180MM. Let's just assume a 1.8MM/day average ongoing rate, because after J&J comes on (in 3 weeks), that is quite realistic. That would be 54MM per month, or about 11% of the adult population (of 255MM) with double shots. So by June 45-50% of adults going to be vaccinated. If we add 10-20% already immune (there is an overlap) that is 55-60% immune at the start of the summer.

My guess is that by 4th of July we are vaccinating school age kids and will be partying hard and maskless.

What happened to our very cherished canadian retard, it's a wonder from outside to contemplate how " canada is the country with the most level headed reaction to Covid".
A day hardly passes without me seeing other covid related outrageous human rights abuse in Canada, and I'm not looking for them, it's bad enough in Europe. Canada doesn t even have high infection rates compared to Europe but is imposing strict lockdowns, what destruction of their own society it takes to make the @nineender of this world proud...
Everything still open here, although we ve been going 2 weeks with a 10pm curfew, an hassle and serious rights abuse but due to be set at 11pm next thursday. A bunch of extra restrictions but several are not implemented. Gyms and restaurants have been open since late May or early June and several small sports competitions are happening. On the other hand schools are pushing hard to turn kids into weak fearful and unhealthy sheeps, I´d never spent so much energy trying to teach my kids how they should trust neither schools nor governments.
How ugly the world has become.

You're truly one of the dumbest guys I've ever encountered on the planet. Too many knocks to the head, it's rather obvious. I've been to Spain certain aspects of it seem almost third world compared to Canada; I couldn't wait to get back to civilization. Continue to waffle in your ignorance; it could be mental illness though hard to be sure.

Well, Spain is not an example of a greatly advanced country and if Madrid had caved in to the surrounding pressure we'd have been under more serious lockdown. I m neither Spanish nor a patriot, so u ain t gonna sting fat little boy.
Problem is u shithead claiming a few months back Canada haD been remarkably calm in dealing with Covid ( basically "the most level headed society in the World" ) yet since that time, despite facing relatively few covid infections, it s been imposing tough lockdowns, looking more and more like an Orwelian police state.
Where have u been all this time btw ? Enjoying ur freedom and travelling around ??
Well, it's the hell hole u asked for, enjoy it. On the other hand lots of canadians still exhibit human traits and find it absolutely disgusting

The concept that somebody living in Spain considers Canada a "hell hole" and a "police state" is rather funny really. The minute Covid is no longer a threat Canada will continue to be one of the most popular immigrant destinations on the planet; we have to cap the numbers every year. The standard of living here is quite good. You just seem mad all the time.

In the meantime they´ll go to police enforced mandatory isolation centers. Sounds good. And that minute might take quite some time to come.
Not sure what went so wrong with Canada, and other quite advanced european countries have gone over the top lately with restrictions to address covid (although Canada seems to be outdoing them, a shame for many canadians, but no surprise Letsliveninefeetunder is not one of those) , in the meantime Sweden is still much as usual it seems, while few wear masks even indoors, and in Madrid , the local government has given up the tough last spring approach (lately under pressure even from politically friendly provinces to increase restrictions, let alone from the central government with which it is constantly at odds) and the city is actually attracting european tourists who look for a somewhat open place to hang out in those repulsive times.

I got it. Felt achey first two days, tired for like 4 and going on one week now and feel normal. The tired is like a brain fog tired, not like running 10 games of basketball. No headache, shortness of breathe, fever. Oh, I did lose my taste/smell which is slowly coming back. Today is my first week completed quarantined. I’ve taken 2000 mg vitamin c daily, vitamin d and two shots of liquid zinc every two hours first day then once a day after. Thank you Lord, I am grateful for you looking over me.

I’ll take Spain over Canada. The country where the sun never sets. :D
