Right, all the experts who told us all the things that we are finding out to be incorrect. Like how the vaccine would prevent us from getting sick or transmitting the virus. Or how masks didn't work and to stop buying them (The CDC) and then they did work (the same CDC) or then how they didn't work unless they were N95s (same CDC)...or how Florida's approach would mean all sorts of deaths above and beyond the rest of the country (also false) and how shutting down schools was necessary because of kid deaths (never happened to any extent beyond normal flu) and so on and so forth...

    Right, that's your truth.

Those challenging the narrative never tried to silence your side of the argument. You tried to silence them. I wonder why that was? Why were you so afraid of open debate? You say you support science, yet shun everything that was ever advanced through the Scientific Method. Very odd, that.

Ohh Pooh. Biden made a gaffe and said the vaccine would prevent infection. Experts understood and explained the vaccine would decrease the seriousness of infection. So you’re cherry picking with that. Experts said masks would prevent transmission and they were right.

Florida is a near tropical state and with that comes some benefits such as less virus transmission but yea for its climate, Florida’s COVID fatality rate was too high but that’s y’all’s choice.

My side of the argument is that as Covid is coming to an end as a pandemic the lessons are masks work, closing schools don’t. Vaccines work and prioritizing vulnerable populations.

You get some things wrong and some things right but erring on the side of life when in doubt is the right choice.

Take Biden out of the equation - lets go with your excuse that it was a gaffe when we know he was just repeating what he was told to say. There are soooo many others that were experts that said the same thing. What about Fauci? Was he making a gaffe?

Wait, what? Where were you when "your side" was all about the spikes in Florida, claiming it was the end of the world. Would you like some posts? Articles? Comments by the administration? Media screaming about how "DeathSantis" was going to destroy everyone? Please. What about all the media that supported Rebekkah Jones and her "real data" (before she was put up on fraud charges and found out to be lying)?

Your side of the argument was what you stated above:

"The Opposite is True" and the consenses of doctors, scientists and research" said "our ilk" was wrong - which just wasn't true. Like at all.

And "our side" was censored, threatened, banned, fired from work, prevented from traveling, locked out of school, prohibited from taking part in sports events, prevented from buying groceries, threatened with loss of medical rights, told we couldn't get treatment or organ transplants, coerced and thrown in quarantine camps. That's how you guys handled the "discussion". That's how you "erred" on the "side of life".

More pooh. But yea people were banned from travel and lost their jobs at certain points during the pandemic due to failure to comply with public health or company policies. Where we are today is not where we were then. We all are benefiting right now from the majority of Americans being vaccinated against Covid. If we had ineffective vaccines or low vaccination rates we’d be where China is right now. It was a rocky road to get here and you shouldn’t take it for granted.

Reminder, the same Covidiots here at ET were posting messages about why hasn't Biden done anything to make Covid go away. :D  o_O

Now that we have consistently maintained low Covid numbers for about 2 months although it needs to go a little lower...they're still bitching/complaining as if we're still in lockdown and still have vaccine mandates.

They should wake up...enjoy life now that they're surrounded by vaccinated people in combo with those that have recovered from a Covid infection that did their part to protect their community.

It's all about Politics. Yet, as soon as Trump (fully vaccinated/boosted) begins campaigning again...the anti-vaccine rhetoric will drop dramatically and take a back seat to the Election Denying misinformation/disinformation.

    Right. "More pooh".

This is a good chart I saw that sums it up. Please tell me what is incorrect about it, and I'll go find the relevant articles and show you where it was said. Keep in mind "a year ago" wasn't necessarily this time last year, but after COVID and before a year ago.

We can review all of this, it’s fine by me. What I will say is that most of Covid policy was happening in real time and decisions were made based on the data at hand. What’s important to understand is that we now have a largely vaccinated population and we no longer need to take drastic or emergency measures with regard to Covid.

That was always the problem. People pushing a narrative that Covid wasn’t dangerous when it truly was for a significant portion of the population. It’s been a fight to get where we are but we are fortunate to be where we are.

  10. Where it was said v. where it was done are two different things since any kook can say anything. Like a nutcase can say we should have camps for unvaccinated but we didnt actually have camps for unvaccinated. So that doesnt make it a conspiracy theory OR true.

Harder access medical care was not a conspiracy theory.for the unvaccinated that became true..it.was true.from the beginning.
