I don't know about Truth, but the science has been clear for a while. For example, the mercury in the vaccines alleged to cause the problems was removed in 2001 in the US and Europe, so if you believed this was responsible you'd be pleasantly surprised by the dramatically falling autism rates since then, right? Wrong. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/93217.php
worldtruth.tv By the way that site has a virus, it needs to be vaccinated. For those interested in science more than "world truth", the latest information on what might be causing autism is coming from extensive long term studies in Scandinavia which suggests a link between low folic acid in the diets of pregnant women and autism in their child. We know now that too low folic acid results in defects in spinal column development and that folic acid is essential to brain tissue development in the fetus. So it is not, at least, unreasonable that there may be a link between folic acid and autism. Interesting to me is the fact that Pauling realized years ago, long before the link between folic acid and spins bifida was discovered, that the U.S. diet was woefully lacking in folic acid. I heard him speak on this topic in the early 1970s, but he was aware of this dietary deficiency long before that. There is no scientific evidence supporting vaccination as the cause of autism. There is of course a high correlation between vaccination and the absence of autism. But never mind that! Or, looking another way at this fact that is so disturbing to the "vaccination causes autism contingent," should we conclude, therefore, that vaccination also prevents autism along with all the horrible diseases it prevents?
I guess you didn't read the article about the court judgments from one of your liberal websites, the Huffpo. I would say there is a serious question about a link between autism and child vaccinations. Considerable research needs to be funded to study this link. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-kirby/post2468343_b_2468343.html [/B][/QUOTE]
Yes, of course, as we all know, scientific issues are always settled in court. That's, for example, how we know silicone breast implants cause cancer, and asbestos causes lung disease and lung cancer -- the size of the monetary awards by courts is definitive. We will no doubt soon have Nobel prizes in science awarded to lawyers based on the size of court judgements won. pspr, I hate to bring this up at a time like this, but I feel you should be aware of the distinct possibility that your mother lacked sufficient folic acid in her diet while she was pregnant with you.
Ruminations on the cost/benefit side to vaccination... Because of widespread vaccinations the odds of contracting one of Man's ancient killers is very low. So, you declining a vaccination today does not significantly raise your odds of catching the disease (there are just not many of the organism around), but it does lower the odds (heh) of you suffering a side effect of the vaccine. However, if everyone begins to forgo vaccination then it would be expected that the disease organism would begin to repopulate, thus greatly raising the odds of contracting the disease.
LOL. I'm referring to the court accepting the evidence of the link between autism and vaccinations in making the awards. But, thanks for the personal attack a the end, piehole.
I was one of those in the original vaccination discussion, siding with the idea that vaccinations are not as harmless at they are made out to be. As a logical thinker, it is nice to read all the supporting evidence about how vaccinations could not cause autism, even if part of my mind wonders if anyone would come out and say they do cause autism - knowing what a shitstorm that would bring down on the medical industry, doctors, the CDC, etc in terms of lawsuits and the like. As a parent, I have no luxury of trusting in these organizations. I must make my own decision, and some of that decision making comes from anecdotal evidence, like family and friends experience. I have a very good friend who has twin sons. He took them to get vaccinated around 6 months, and the doc gave them a cocktail with 6 vaccinations in it. The very next day, they had high fevers and had to be hospitalized. Slightly less than a week later, when the kids were released from the hospital, my friend swears they were different babies. Before, they smiled and cooed. After, they were unresponsive, and eventually turned out to be severely autistic. He swears it was the vaccinations. Who am I to call him a liar? Regardless of whether vaccinations cause autism or not, giving a 6 month old a cocktail of 6 viruses = (dead or weakened) is asinine. Their bodies aren't designed for that type of immuno-combat. I remember when my son was born, and they wanted to give him a Hepatitis vaccination. I essentially told them to piss off, as my son was not at risk for Hepatitis (neither my wife nor I have it and my son wasn't about to be sexually active any time soon). They carried on about how the CDC recommended it, and I told them I didn't give a shit what the CDC recommended. They weren't vaccinating my child with anything. Later on, I spaced out his vaccinations, one every 6 months. I allowed them to do DPT as one, as that had been around forever.
I was inclined to attack those that claimed vaccinations were bad. On the other hand a good friend had a child who was perfectly normal until he was given the chicken pox vaccine and ended up in the hospital and is now basically a vegetable. He was just over a year old, and now 8 years later shows no sign of recovery. In a wheelchair with a feeding tube etc. I guess the more I have thought about it there is a realization that this is not something that has been tested, and the multiple vacs. at one time has no basis for scientific discovery before it was used. Yes, there maybe problems, and holding faith in doctors and medical companies blindly is really showing how stupid we are as a people.
THANK YOU! Tsing Tao for a reasonable post. Sometimes, while I'm sitting here waiting on the market, I occupy my time, waste it in other words, reading the vacuous crap in these P&R threads. It is a pleasure to come upon a post that suggests more than one neuron was involved in creating it.
