Trump’s Global Tariffs Deemed Illegal, Blocked by Trade Court

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...cked-by-us-trade-court?srnd=homepage-americas

A complaint brought by a conservative legal advocacy group on behalf of small businesses alleged Trump is misusing the law, essentially basing his tariffs on a bogus emergency. The Liberty Justice Center said the US trade deficits are “neither an emergency nor an unusual or extraordinary threat.” Even if it were, the group says, the emergency law doesn’t allow a president to impose across-the-board tariffs.

The Democrat-led states alleged the tariffs amount to a massive tax on American consumers and infringe on the authority of Congress. The states also challenged Trump’s tariffs on Mexico and Canada, which cite the same emergency law based on claims about cartel activity and drug trafficking.

  4. The whole exercise was for insider trading..huge profits from April 8th.

    April 9th
    >"rumors leaked that Trump will give a 90 day pause on Tariffs"
    >"Whitehouse denies these rumors..as Trump's insider front runners have not completed their insider Buying"
    April 10th
"Trump states he will give a 90 day pause on all Tariffs"

  5. Well..he will huff and he will puff...

But today,..nobody believes a word he says about ''Tough negotiations". TACO Tuesday is everyday.

I think going forward..the market will start to completely ignore anything he says about Tariffs, War, Budget cuts and really..anything foreign policy.

Its just back to the standard republican Govt cutting, Lower Taxes and less regulation. They prolly be the extent of his second term..in a nutshell.

It will be reversed. I would just ignore it if I were Trump. This court doesn't have any authority over what The Executive Branch does.

Agree. As I mentioned he isnt going to sit back and let the court override his tariffs, he will retaliate which will cause more uncertainty and push stocks lower which is why chasing this 2% jump is only a fools game. And like you mentioned this back and forth rhetoric is just too much, imagine running a business in this world today trying to keep up with this political garbage....its unreal
