Countrywide CEO: No housing recovery before 2009, How about 2010 instead.

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by S2007S, Jul 24, 2007.

  1. For "no point in talking to him" you sure do it often.

For a $2 million dollar man you should be well accustomed to such gains (both magnitude and duration). IF you can get 100% in an hour, WHY would it take "a month or so" for the second 100%?

Whether YOU'VE ever excercised a single contract (yet alone 150) is debatable.

Yep, I asked for YOUR e-mail address after your PMing me. Still waiting. Waiting to take "it" to another level. You already have mine.

Ignoring me might make you feel better, but it won't change the outcome of your shrewd 27 1/2 puts.

  2. Let's put up a chart relative to a 27 1/2 strike 3 weeks out for the saavy option traders.

  3. CFC will hit my strike most likley whithin the next couple of days. You prove no points and all support levels are broken. Free fall from here and the gravity just gets heavier and heavier.:)

    #13     Jul 24, 2007
  4. I'm assuming you're "talking" to me (even though I'm not worth talking to).

Not trying to PROVE anything. Making observations on a public forum. This is in contrast to bragging and/or cheering.

Before it can get to your strike it has to close below $30. Right? You BE SURE and let me know when it does.

BTW, where are the underlying shares going? Share heaven?

Who's writing those puts? Gosh, they must be idiots, "giving" you all that easy money in exchange for chump 30 cent premium.

  5. Yea and I made a 100% return today genius and your point? Countrywide is the biggest and the last mortgage lender to take a slide. Most others already have tanked 50-70%. So what does countrywide do? The go on a P & D campaign all the time top brass are dumping over 400m shares over the last year!

They have cooked the books and it will be brought to light soon enough. When folks finally realize the ship is sinking they will jump the ship into more favorable market sectors.

Someone is trying to prop this stock up and it will fail. Anchor will drag this stock below water and it's downhill from there.

BTW I enjoyed my 100% gainer today, thanks for your lack of insight. Charts look terrible and the downtrend is confirmed.:)

  6. I don't recall using the word "genius", do you?

My point? CFC was the flavor of the day. Yesterday. But today's a new day.

Made? IF you booked it. I have this hunch you've never booked anything worth of shit.

Someone trying to prop this stock up. Hmmm, "someone". All shares outstanding are HELD at any point in time. ALL. Any short are double held. This aggregate holding can be divided into floating and non-floating. Shares exchanged today are floating. They have a proud new owner(s). Yep, a few bargain hunters, but I'm referring to the specialist. This is a NYSE. Your CBOE option position, with inherent time decay, is pegged to that.

As such, "he's" flush with inventory. Just how does he dispose of a higher than usual inventory posture?

Charts? It's been in a distribution top for 3 years. It's natural for insiders to sell shares (repeatedly) in a distribution top. But a top is a process, not an event. Premature in two contexts.

Probabilities favor repelling off both its neckline and a nice big round number. Fortunately for you, the overall market climate is presently lame (but also over-sold).

Buying OTM contracts is the mark of an under-capitalized amateur.

Rationalizing the trade as being cheap is cute.

Buying them with 3 weeks to expiration is greed..

Buying OTM, after the stock as already moved 11%, yet still far from strike, but near expiration, is quadruple__________. Fill in the blank.

Once again, you be sure and let me know when it closes below $30. Better yet, when you hit your strike on that material position of yours.

  7. Not sure about that you might want to go back and have a look at the S&L debacle before you start preaching that line. Times were very differnt then the financial system much more centralized, economic conditions were also les favourable with respect to underlying inflationary expectations and interest rates

  9. Very well put(excuse the pun!) Beaker! Yea I continue to hold my August puts and they have made me some serious coin again today. When the indisers have dumped over 400m shares in the last year, you know this is one big sinking ship. Most mortgage bankers will not make it through this, if you are not an institutional bank, say goodbye to the mortage business.:)

  10. Once again, insider selling is natural (to be expected) in a distribution top. Wouldn't expect buying.

And..........those shares not offset by limits are going to the ax's coffers. Gee, what's "he" gonna do with 'em?

Trend broke in 2004. My calendar tells me it's 2007. Distribution top.

You're also disregarding the ability to mint MORE shares (aka dilution of the earnings stream). That aside, 400,000 shares is what proportion of outstanding? Piddle

Doesn't matter. Merchandising of paper matters. CBOE, ancillary.

As for "childish", the child doesn't know WHO he is. Yet.
I truly wonder what he means by "serious coin".
