What country has regulation that can get a CTA going the cheapest and fastest without much red tape. What are the pros and cons with this approach?
the best country for attracting investors is Chicago Illinois. The cons of going off shore, like to Honduras, is getting somebody to send their money offshore. We looked at it when we wanted to get around the restrictions on mutual funds.
CTA's are common in Chicago, or at least they were back in the heyday. It has nothing to do with your performance. It is all about sales. And much easier to sell in Chicago than Portugal or Barbados.
