No Sir when Biden promised progressive policies he got 81 million votes,millions more than Trump did in November.Unlike Trump when Biden promised progressive policies he also got the majority of the vote. When Biden didn't deliver on those progressive promises or even attempt to,his sidekick running on a Biden 2nd term got millions less than 81 million votes.
Also,unlike Reagan,Obama and Biden Trump didn't even get the majority of the vote,thus Americans didn't want him or his policies.
Some progressives really do need smartwatches to tell them which way is forward. Remember the Progressive Pigeons? Mandates must be earned. Overreach without one is tyranny. Franco held power until his natural death in 1975. Infighting against a greater evil has had long-term consequences. With platforms like TikTok potentially falling into Trump’s hands and further eroding the younger progressive base, any potential (numerical) mandate could vanish. Yet I suspect, just as Joe thought people pooping on his head was ice cream, the zealots will double down on their self-righteous wrongness instead of learning from their mistakes.
I missed this earlier. Correlation/causation. I never saw proof that people were voting for progressive polices in droves, they were certainly voting to get the hell away from Trump / pandemic and desperate for what they saw as normalcy. I personally got numerous people out to vote who wound have passed by habit and apathy. They were all over 60. I came back to ET to ask somebody a question after the bad debate, who was the candidate that would do?
No Sir Progressives will double and triple down our rightness while non progressive leftists and The Democrat Party will keep nominating losers like Al Gore,Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.Even after losing to people like Donald Trump and George W Bush twice they'll likely nominate another centrist like Shapiro, Beshear or Cooper in 2028. Democrats have only had 2 two term Presidents since 1980 and the only reason Clinton was a 2 term President(or even 1 term president) was because of the original tea partier Ross Perot taking millions of votes from The Republican nominees.The only reason Biden won in 2020 is because he promised everything Bernie Sanders promised but the centrist corporatist neoliberal zealots will double down on their self-righteous wrongness instead of learning from their mistakes. Progressives will learn from our mistake of voting for Biden in 2020 and from now on will only be voting for candidates who have been progressives their entire career so unless another Ross Perot comes along Democrats won't be winning The Presidency for a very long time.Like the Spanish leftists us Bernie/Warren leftist are fine living with the opposition in charge if Democrats like Biden,Harris,Gore and Hillary is the other choice.
When Progressives thought we would get a President that would fight for Medicaid option for all,higher minimum wage,higher taxes on the rich,student loan forgiveness,less oil drilling,free state college,police reform etc Democrats got 81 million votes.
