Well, there are two lessons: 1) Follow theory 2) If you have to make a move like ...Qd8, you shouldn't be playing in this manner
I have been thinking about the theory of how to play such an event and how it should affect the world's voting patterns. A couple of things come to mind: 1) Out of the opening, follow the highest rated player. Forget everything else. 2) Once you are out of opening, follow the most dynamic move.
