  1. in my experience, the tick charts is not stable

it is easy to change with time

what do you think of strategy on tick charts ?

I will appreciate your sharing ideas

I did some experiments with volume charts. I could alter the start time of the day and an intraday trading strategy would be affected greatly, move it from win to lose... with time charts even, altering the start of the day can change the candle colors of more bars than you would think possible...

  3. The TA industry has now spawned an entire "tick industry"...
A 5 year old clever con...
On top of a 100 year old clever con.

The only people making money are the people selling data...
    And the brokers as usual.

The Securities Industry is the Perfect Con...
A casino that has convinced otherwise intelligent people it's not a casino... oh nooooooo.

    And it really gets bizarre...
When one ponders how bad "micro-data" is...
How very fragmented the markets have become...
With so much trading happening away from primary exchanges and underreported...
Probably 20% of all trading doesn't show on quotation systems...
Tick data is riddled with small or erroneous trades made way off the market...
As to be meaningless... for stocks anyway.

You may as well be crunching numbers about snowflakes... and betting on that.
    How silly would that be?

It is quite easy to filter tick data for bad ticks, I do it right in the strategy by not responding to a tick away from the market... I thought the originating poster was talking about multi tick bar charts, like 100 tick bars....

  6. I can't see any reason why a trendfollowing system could not be applied to 1-minute bars.

    But tick charts, probably not.

  7. Tick bars work fine....

  8. Thanks for sharing that bro.

  9. No problem...also here is the top shot of that same time period...

  10. I can't see any reason why a trendfollowing system could not be applied to 1-minute bars.

    But tick charts, probably not.

    ===================================

    Minute charts could mean more

but tick charts is only the aggregation of trade
