  5. I have enough on my plate that I don't need to swim in the bitcon waters, but yes, for pure money making , it's fine. Same as all the fraud penny stocks that folks made and lost millions with .

    I have no problem with trading the con, only believing in it.

    It is an absolute disgrace that someone so high up and influential has denied the science of climate change and is willing to support dirty industries like coal mining just for some lousy votes.

    I understand civilization as the whole world, not only U.S. (China make +30% over US. )

    The VERY big drain on electricity resources is not the mining industry. It will be the charging up of the electric cars. European politicos are talking about banning sales of all diesel and petrol engine cars by 2040.
    To cope with this heavy demand the US for instance would need hundreds of new power plants.

    Excel energy did a study which indicated a 19% increase in electricity generation capacity with 100% EV penetration (http://www.slate.com/blogs/quora/20...w_much_energy_would_we_need_to_fuel_them.html). Substantial but not civilization ending.
