World Production https://yearbook.enerdata.net/electricity/world-electricity-production-statistics.html
Since you were responding to a post about Trump and coal jobs in the U.S., the U.S. electricity market is perhaps more relevant than the growth in load in India. Not really viable to ship thermal coal that far at a large scale.
Is that your best shot? Kinda sad. Fantasy of your that I was ever short, or even put my hard earned money in a scam #btc account.
Sure keep on believing that bud. Try to block it out as best as you can! Meanwhile other people are making millions trading this "scam"
I have enough on my plate that I don't need to swim in the bitcon waters, but yes, for pure money making , it's fine. Same as all the fraud penny stocks that folks made and lost millions with . I have no problem with trading the con, only believing in it.
It is an absolute disgrace that someone so high up and influential has denied the science of climate change and is willing to support dirty industries like coal mining just for some lousy votes.
Nope man, I answered to the topic wich is Cryptocurrencies / "Could all the electricity wasted on mining cause a collapse of civilization?" I understand civilization as the whole world, not only U.S. (China make +30% over US. )
The VERY big drain on electricity resources is not the mining industry. It will be the charging up of the electric cars. European politicos are talking about banning sales of all diesel and petrol engine cars by 2040. To cope with this heavy demand the US for instance would need hundreds of new power plants.
Excel energy did a study which indicated a 19% increase in electricity generation capacity with 100% EV penetration (http://www.slate.com/blogs/quora/20...w_much_energy_would_we_need_to_fuel_them.html). Substantial but not civilization ending.
