Cotton

Sold cotton.

 

Dec Cotton looks like a buy to me. I'll use a market order tomorrow and get long. Price closed today at 52.50

 

Went long the Dec Cotton (CTZ6) at 52.15.

 

Not exactly a winner yet. I'll stay long though for now.

 

hmmm--maybe I'll be picking cotton instead of trading by Dec.

No, I'm still in. I should have clarified--I only put on 1 lot as I wasn't totally sure. I'l probably look for other long entries. I won't get hurt too badly!

 

Oh my goodness!! I'm getting whacked on 1 lot of Dec Cotton. I might have to close my account

Here's the deal. I buy Dec Cotton each year about this time and start with 1 lot. Then I buy periodically on dips or on technical breakout. This is a seasonality play. I hold ususally through November. Uh Oh, somebody may be after me about using fundamental analysis (seasonality). Hmm, I wonder if that really is fundamentals?.

 

Yeah you are. At least you're not long sugar like I was in mid-Aug. Ouch.

 

Hey, I recovered a bit on that Cotton trade yesterday. What do you think? Just short covering? I am staying long right now as a seasonal play with just the one lot.
