I know from reading that in the Commitment of Traders report that Non-commercial traders are the hedge funds and speculators, and the commercial traders are the ones who actually produce and consume the underlying commodity, so these are the hedgers. But what about for the SP and the ES contracts? Who would be defined as a commercial trader and who would be a non-commercial trader?
