The biggest cost is learning how to trade live. You will initially lose a good chunk of your account until you learn the ropes. Budget for this first.
But....unless you have income to sustain losses and a long learning curve, you are much better off finding another outlet for your activities. A strategy for trading ES needs to constantly evolve. A constant learning curve. It never ends. And what you've experienced over the past year may have no validity in the future as the market changes. It is not an easy path, and unless you know this and are prepared for it, I sincerely suggest that you look elsewhere for your fun and spare change.
Thank you all very much. This is exactly the type of info I was seeking, especially the spread. No one, even those that have the funds enjoys loses. I think at this point this may well be another source of entertainment, much like Flight Sim. and I will remain on the sidelines.
