Enjoying myself, found the additional stuff you mentioned ............ looking at dragonfly doji now. Going to spend several days on this with Bigelow looking at his examples. Its becoming more likely I will be able to put together a T-Line system after all You're the champ. Much obliged for this neat stuff
...Believe none of what you read and only half of what you see. Do your stats baby. At LEAST go find a dozen instances in past charts and if possible in different points in the cycle and find out how many DID NOT Work. Still interested? I have 200ma 50ma and 8ema on a lot of my "analysis studys" as sierrachart calls them. Just makes it easy to swap out different crap like pivots, rsi, volume, or different combos of other moving averages and crap. The old 8ema or something close is on most of them all. It is still very nice to work those clean charts like yours too, so you know the drill. As Scatophagos posted after looking at one of my chart posts, 'how do you trade with all that crap in the way', lol. Bigalow puts out some nice vids with all kinds of ideas. Gave me the idea for the old fitty-200 trade. Keep in mind that I don't trade Daily charts so intraday moves can last for buttloads of bars on a 1minute chart, that same number of bars on a Daily chart would be interesting to see stats for, but nothing I have even considered doing, the longest timeframe I put in my stats is on a 30minute that trades around the clock. For SQQQ and SOXL and the kinds of products that KCalhoun works with, 5min is as high as I have stats for on down to 30second bar setups. KC has a lot of good content on ET imho. Got a lot of hyenas on his ass everytime he makes free offers for his trading room so he's gotta be doing something right, lol. Shiny side up man and I'll see if I can do the same.
Thanks. Yes, very much so still interested. One f the main reason my charts are clean, squeaky clean is simply because I dislike clutter. The 200-day ema and pure price. But you have me fired up now because a failure on my part has been to find or develop a good moving average system. I'm totally dissatisfied with everything I have seen before until the T_Line came along. Then there was hope. The 50 x 200 was just too slow for me, giving up too much gain or too late entry. A simple trendline hammers this 50x200 easily. Then I did T_Line x 21. Got bummed out there too. So 50, 200, 8 I'll mess with that some more. Gotta put an auto setup together .
auto setup. That got my attention. - With your interest in T-Line, that particular vid below is the best T-Line reference you gonna find. Bookmark it in your browser. Put it in a handy place. Refer back to it. Steve shows a variety of uses for it. I've sat through that baby half a dozen times and a couple dozen more half hour bite size chunks over the years, just to refresh on different aspects. I'm no fanboy of his but that mofo makes a 200 a 50 and an 8ma sing. He has half a dozen other 1-hour videos that are just as good about different aspects of trading and a boatload of quickie 3 minute refreshers like this handy Doji Sandwich video linked below. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...t-right-here-baby.335635/page-27#post-5568334 If you benchmark your setups then when the Kvetches show up sooner or later with stuff like this, "Stephen Bigalow is nothing but a book sales site - he does not trade at all - even his own candlestick method". Damned if I know, I don't care either way. Steve gives away actionable ideas that I benchmark before I trade em so Bigalow's business is no concern of mine. He inspired several setup/triggers that I have in my toolbox so tip of the hat to you Steve. I'm glad he's enough to support his output and his car collection and whatever else floats his boat. More power to him. Kvetchs gotta kvetch, lol. Meanwhile, to the men in the ring, Cheers.
