doubled down on uvxy, just bought another 200 shares @$21.5 afterhours, now in just 385 shares with cost basis $22ish
I don't mean to pry, Ken, but you've been trading since the 90's...and you still trade relatively low? An average, typical, day for you is $200-300, 400 I would expect maybe $2K, 3K, 5K
UVXY gap up, sold 200 to book profit, am rebuying if it continues up. I trade small so I can do extensive testing for my industry articles etc, plus that's my personal preference. I'm working to size up
The hard cold truth is few few few few people make money trading over time . I started using green tax trader in 1999 and i actually stayed with the accountant i used there who went on his own for 15 yrs . At the 15th yr i asked him how many traders he had from when i started really made money . He said 2-3 TOTAL . A lot of chest thumping on this board.
Thx hafez, good point. Crushing UVXY today. The day trading strategy that I've been testing is working very well and profitably for me today again. It involves setting a sequence of orders every $0.20 or so on the way up with tight trailing and or hard stops $0.20, the key is mixing it up since you got both hard and trailing stops since both type will get taken out - the goal is to diversify so that some of them work out in your favor. Eg buy 23.2 .2ts, 23.4 .2ts etc A good sub strategy is to use $0.20 trailing stops with entries every $0.20 on the way up
I'll be aggressively trading any end of day run in uvxy today, what a surprise! Great way to end the week
Trolling is technically forbidden against regular members and sponsors alike. But since he is a lowbie now, I really want to tell him that I hate how he is promulgating the bear movement. Bugger off, inverse man! BAH!
