Corporate Profits Were the Highest on Record Last Quarter

  1. When it comes to cheap labor corporations and their supporters have no problem with globalist one world government but let any notion of that trickle over to the benefit of working people and
suddenly it becomes socialism taking over the world.

Something Chomsky said that stuck with me is that multi national corporations go about doing business the way that story about the snake telling the girl who nursed it back to health after it bit her, "I"m a snake bitch", accounts for its actions-- as "tacit collusion." That is corporate might not go about business conspiratorially, that is in the aggragate, but the results of their greed based motives pillages as if they had.

I always did that, it wasn't my idea, wifey used to kick me out of bed every day and tell me to go do that so she would have some spending $$... then I made the discovery that WIN stands for Work Is Nonprofit and I've been happy ever since... well wifey kicked me out and I miss the dogs but hey....

  3. Why should businesses hire people before they need them? Do you buy products you don't need?

  4. Not at all, he's great for big business, horrible for the middle class. Horrible for small and mid sized businesses. If you are a political lobbying big business, sure it's great...

  5. Congratulations! You have just illustrated how to take a quote out of context to make your point. Your political career should blossom.

  7. Okay, here's your entire quote. What did I take out of context?

"Exactly my point, which is why you won't see them hiring anytime soon regardless of what happens with taxes. When demand for products and/or services actually increase to a point they have no choice but to add personnel they will do so, and not one minute before. Those added will come from the ranks of those whom have gotten their minds right and they'll be very good worker bee's. They'll be paid less while charges for products and services rendered will go up, and the financial rape of the working class will stay in tact."

Yeah but supposedly everything that has happened since Dumbo took office is Bush's fault. Shouldn't Bush get the credit for this?

  9. This guy is an example of an American communist:
Business is as selfish as any individual. If it sees additional profits through hiring additional workers, it will do so.

Business reacts to taxes and regulations. It does not decide to bleed the working class. Obama however, bleeds the private sector and feeds the public sector and unions.

Business is not expanding because of tax increases that will take effect on 2011, Obamacare that has yet to be in full force, and the new Finregs that were just put in place.

Obama and the Democrats, even though supported by the "smartest" people like academia, are demonstrating they do not know how to run a country. [IMG]

    1) Maybe
    2) True
    3) Yes and no, business is also proactive, but it is mainly no in this case.
    4) Bullshit. We have shops in Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Texas, and Pennsylvania. I assure you future taxes are not stopping us from expanding manufacturing.
