They literally put a gun to your head and say "Work!" I don't want to be under that system, but it's definitely more efficient than how the gov't manages workers or contractors in the U.S. They probably need a 20 minute break every hour per their union, and play on their phones or watch someone else work the rest of the time.

This could kill 1 billion with aB people, this isn't someone trying to make a profit from fear mongering.

Okay 1 billion less people especially the old or unwell might not be a bad thing, but living through that is going to suck.

  3. How do you know it isn't someone trying to profit from fear mongering?

I think when facing 1 billion deaths to errr on the side of caution.

Burying head in the sand and pretending its its happening not wise

Hope for the best plan for the worst.

  5. Aren't we always facing 1 billion deaths due to something or the other? I seem to recall by 2024 or something the entire Earth will be engulfed in climate change flames.

  7. Here is the question I would ask: do you think society is doing the right thing to contain the virus at this point?

My father, God rest his soul, served with the US army during the conflict in Korea, and he told me that the Koreans were some of some of the most remarkable people he ever met in his life. He said that after the US army conducted live fire exercises, he would watch these tiny Koreans scale up the hillside and collect little pieces of scrap metal from the exploded ammunition shrapnel. They would then haul 100 pounds of this stuff on their backs in makeshift rucksacks back to their little villages and make trinkets and other tools that they sell in local markets.

He also trained alongside the Korean ROC marines and said 1 of their soldiers was worth 2 of the soldiers in his brigade (his words not mine). Very tough people.

  10. Like the stock market, takes ages to go up, 3 hours to wipe off trillions.
