mr morganist, Do me a square and pass me that patent app over there...might have some shares to spare. How do I look? Why, Thank you.
You can make chlorine to disinfect things by pouring water through activated charcoal. It works well the water put through the charcoal has the chlorine in it. If you need to sterilise anything and have nothing else around it works.
mr morganist, agreed, activated charcoal is some amazing stuff, cheap in 'bulk'. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Activated_carbon Feel like a "science" experiment to get published, (again)? (even if it is just in wikipedia, lol) All you need is experimental cheep vodka and some Top Shelf Hootch, for a control. Oh yeah and a mass spec - details be damned. here's the "citation needed" entry. Passing an organically impure vodka through an activated carbon filter at the proper flow rate will result in vodka with an identical alcohol content and significantly increased organic purity, as judged by odor and taste.[citation needed] . edit: now that I reread it, that ""as judged by odor and taste"" clause takes it out of the realm of the Objective and into the Subjective. Who needs a mass spec, Here's the citation, quote; "Toss a couple tablespoons of activated carbon in that crap vodka, shake it around, let charcs fall to the bottom, leave em there, then tell me what everybody knows; "Tastes good as Top Shelf Hootch."" . cheers

He's not integrating the fact that all the dumbasses out there who go to their local Home-Depot and buy dust masks thinking they will get protection, will then sue 3M for getting sick, because they didn't know the standard masks you find at the local Safeway do not protect against anything as small as a virus.
