    "You could easily argue..." You're not joking -- I know. But you really need to bump up the class of Agent Orange Kook-Aid you're drinking.

    Taxpayers paying the government to loan to taxpayers is not "our money" -- it's appropriation and redistribution. And since it is flow-of-capital not steered by choice (or by *returns*), it is nearly guaranteed to be inefficient.

    I know these are words you never bothered to learn about in school, but they are both *real* and entirely *unavoidable.*

    Like it or not, it is socialism, and no jingos or bumper-sticker loyalty escapes that. It might be bitter medicine for some, but to not call it what it is is to invite abuse of it on a civil-society *ruining* scale. I'm not up for that.
