Integrity matters and the quality of your sources matter. Posting a bunch of nonsense with no scientific backing from fringe conspiracy lunatics does not make any of the information true or factual.

Rapid tests in the U.S. have only been distributed from the federal government in October and most states (including North Carolina) have not started using them yet. The standard PCR tests that take a couple of days to get results from are very accurate currently.

The rapid tests may not be very accurate but they are rarely used in the U.S. in comparison to the standard PCR tests --- so trying to make claims that all the overall testing is wrong based on the accuracy of rapid tests is simply misguided.

Seeing that the majority of COVID cases are spread by people showing no symptoms -- the importance of proper contact tracing and testing only increases.

The majority of people working in the front lines of the medical field do not doubt the COVID "narrative" -- they view people pushing COVID nonsense including this idiot Yeardon as significant threats to their health. Keep in mind that front-line COVID health workers on a global basis have a higher death and hospitalization rate than even the elderly. This is because they are exposed in an environment to high viral doses for lengthy shifts day after day -- many times with inadequate protection.

Integrity does matter but who fact-checks the so called “fact checkers?”

Antigen tests, not all that reliable. Your PCR tests are not without problems too, lots of false positives or testing positive long after a person is capable of infecting others.

    Asymptotic spread is debatable.

The rest of your post?..... opinion.

    Good luck with your assertions.

Let's start with your asymptotic spread claim and see what legitimate public health agencies have to say about it...

CDC coronavirus update: Agency says most COVID-19 infections spread by people without symptoms
    https://abc7ny.com/8144335/?taid=5fba3dc26dc962000115a463

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is now saying most coronavirus infections are spread by people who don't have symptoms.

The agency published the updated guidance on its website Friday.

According to the CDC, 24% of spread is from asymptomatic people.

About a third is from those who are pre-symptomatic, and 41% is from people experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, CNN reported.

The CDC says asymptomatic spread is why wearing masks is so important.

The CDC also adjusted its guidance Thursday to recommend that Americans do not travel for the Thanksgiving holiday next week, due to surging COVID-19 cases in many parts of the country.

The agency recommends that Americans celebrate the holiday at home with the people they live with, as gathering with family and friends from outside of the household can increase the chances of getting or spreading COVID-19 or the flu.

  4. Nothing new here except the reality of how it will impact vaccination plans is presumably getting closer.

Doctors say CDC should warn people the side effects from Covid vaccine shots won’t be ‘a walk in the park’

    POINTS

      • The CDC must be transparent about the side effects people may experience after getting their first shot of a coronavirus vaccine, doctors urged during a meeting Monday with CDC advisors.
      • Dr. Sandra Fryhofer said that both Pfizer’s and Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccines require two doses and she worries whether her patients will come back for a second dose because of potentially unpleasant side effects after the first shot.
      • Both companies acknowledged that their vaccines could induce side effects that are similar to symptoms associated with mild Covid-19, such as muscle pain, chills and headache.

  5. Here a little something to feed the pessimists who are struggling a bit of late in the midst of all the good news about vaccines.

Although if you read the full article, he says "absolutely yes" he believes that it will reduce transmission, but is cautioning that that has not been proven yet and to not over-interpret the data.

There is actually not any news or covid-specific aspect here. It is just virus 101, where it makes sense that even if you have a highly effective vaccine people can still be infectious until the antibodies get rid of it which will take some time, could be hours or days. Might get lucky and neutralize it right on contact. On the other hand it makes sense that it will reduce transmission by bringing about rapid recovery so that the period when a person is infectious is substantially reduced, duh.

People need to understand a vaccine will not fix the Covid problem.

  8. In regard to the covid vaccines, we will find out how they work about four years earlier than we would have under Sleepy Joe.

  9. Sort of an interesting read here- although not for the hit and run reader.

It is amazing how closely the first two waves of the spanish flu pandemic were seemingly parallel to how covid has spread this year. Their first wave was in march, the second came in September and then they had a last wave that started roughly after thanksgiving and picked up speed midwinter. Although it was the second wave that was the worst. And the third wave was also partially driven by soldiers returning from Europe.

Americans celebrated Thanksgiving during a pandemic before. Here's what happened.

  10. Issues travel warning for the little people.

    Then hits the road.

After warnings to avoid travel, Denver Mayor Hancock flies to visit family for Thanksgiving
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock has told people to avoid travel in order to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, which is at record levels in the city.
