In this thread I use signals based on TA then. It isn't automated yet, but likely can be and maybe will be in future.
It's a yes or no question--- either it relies on objective signals that can be automated or it does not. If you think its objective enough to be automated, then you are guaranteed to fail.
I didn't try, but I eventually will. Yes I believe it's very objective, at least those signals presented here. Fail or not... we'll see. I'm a scientist in 5th generation, anything is a theory until proven.
Ok, the market eats objective systems alive. you will soon learn just how this really is, despite it appearing very easy. good luck!
BUt you do, you just don't know it. You clearly dont' rely on objective methods either--- please read http://books.google.ca/books?hl=en&...6&sig=NLnY7IBe8GrlWBMcVQmeIES25J8&redir_esc=y Just trying to create dialog and explain what I mean---and this book pretty much lays out what I think---- I am fairly certain you will GET IT, soon. hang in there, and dont' give up!
I'm still waiting for the mkt to eat my objective system....been waiting since the late 90's. Guess the mkt isn't hungry
I didn't structure my system towards an "edge" that would be eliminated. Humans are still behind all the decision making (whether manual or algorithmic) so things haven't really changed. Only volatility needs to be adjusted for. Until AI takes over, I'm not too worried about being phased out of the trading game.
