Cornix's TA Performance

  1. Sure, ok, but what about Surf and his "PDs" against Cornix and TA. No need to post screenshots and waste time with commentary. We could establish a betting pool as well. How about each puts-up $500 and winner takes it after x-date?

  2. I'll be up for that starting in September--- too busy right now with new baby on the way and moving to P. beach, for anything beyond what I already have going on--- $500 sounds cool. Cornix/other TA folks --- you up for this? I'll trust you for the $500 and the challenge will run from 9.1 to 12.31.2013. Remind me in August. Surf

  3. Personally, I don't think such a "contest" has merit beyond entertainment value for the lurkers. PD's have so far a rather mixed value and the OP has stated some simple goals to prove over time the way he uses TA has some positive value. Surf basically said today that his PD's are more a market sentiment tool used to get into trades and the management of them was then rather subjective. ie. what your suggesting is who is the better trader not necessarily which is a better tool in trading PD's or TA.

  4. I am open to challenge any TA user, not just corn, to a $500 collective2 contest organized by Atticus starting in sept Only parameters is it needs to be directional trading and no derivatives. But I doubt anyone will step up, remember the TA folks needed 50k as missed opportunity costs to participate in a 10 day combine. What assclownery! surf

  5. No derivatives would mean no futures. Why?

  6. YM, NQ,ES would be allowed--- directional trading only.

  7. What about CL and Forex?

  8. If you want to go up against the day traders, you should allow all futures. Some thrive on the volatility of CL, others on 6E and some are now making a killing on 6J.

I can understand if you want to take the volatility aspect out of the contest, but really a robust method should allow you to trade anything that gives you the best return.

Don't want to be a one trick pony, do you?

  9. Tell you what, I will bet you $ 50, and you let me trade Forex. If you can afford to bet $ 500, you should be able to afford $ 50.

  10. Ok, when I said derivatives, I meant options, not futures-- any directionally traded instrument is ok with me, as long as its agreed to ahead of time-- we both trade emini index, we both trade oil, whatever... surf
