Yes, not getting police reform passed in a 50-50 Senate when you need 60 votes is obviously why Dems had such a bad mid-term election.

With their lengthy history of passing historic legislation, the Green Party and Mr. West would get it all done in no time.

    Fight with your own message.

GOP tried the defund police message in 2020,Dems didn't turn their back on police reform, blacks came out to vote,Dems won.

GOP tried the defund police message in 2022,Dems turned their back on police reform, blacks stayed home, Dems lost.

If it's all so easy then why didn't Mandela Barnes lose in a state where Biden won? He campaigned on policing reforms and medicare for all.

Barnes lost,Fetterman,Warnock and Kelly won.Ryan also lost, and lost much bigger than Barnes, even though Brown has shown 3 times a progressive can win a senate seat in that state.

All three were against weak Republican candidates. So you telling me that fighting with your message only works when your opponent is a loon like Walker and Masters?

And Sherrod Brown is against court expansion.

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) said adding seats is a topic that the media and Republicans like to talk about but one that’s got no traction in the Senate. “Somebody’s introduced a bill,” he said. “We’re focused on Covid and infrastructure.”

That is disappointing and will give progs something to think about in 2024.

BTW,this is from 2021,before Roe was overturned.Support from Dem voters has surely increased since than.It will increase even more from blacks when affirmative action is overruled.

Brown has long been respected and acceptable to progs, but if he and others like him don't evolve with prog demands he will be out of job too.
