Corn - Sept. 14

  1. Corn was limit up last Friday after 2-3 weeks of down trend. Was this due to Ike related concerns, Lehman related concerns, or other?

    Let me know your truthful opinion.
     
  2. 1) Rain is bearish during the growing season. That's what the expression , "rain makes grain", means.
    2) Rain is bullish during harvest season because it slows down harvest and creates the possibility of crop destruction because of mold.
    3) There might be a little bit of "sympathy" with price movement in gasoline for ethanol production.
     
  3. crop report was bullish imo, I still think they are over shooting bushels per acre. Although feed stocks were cut quite a bit too, I think there are some gaps to be tended too. nazzdack knows what he is talking about, itsa variety of things
