If so, couple that with a liberal upbringing, today's sick times, and cold hearted people placed in a position of power and trust... This is why the guys retiring now are bailing out as soon as they can, and I don't blame them.

Many decades ago my best friend was cuffed, put in the back of an unmarked car and two detectives beat the crap out of him.

So, maybe it is more prevalent now, maybe not, but the same shit happened many years ago and you never heard about it on the evening news or in the newspaper.

Cowardly souls they were if that's true. If another Trooper, deputy, or city cop pulled that, he/she'd be wearing MY bracelets. Of course, that was then, when people respected others...:(

Cops rarely see justice. Ever. They're protected by a gigantic union and bureaucracy, that wrist slaps crimes the average citizen would get 10-20 years for. Most of these db's (and the clowns that defend them), are total and complete hypocrites, who operate totally above the law.

I'm sure it was true. We must have been 17 or 18. I saw the aftermath. My friend didn't need hospital treatment but his face was all swollen black and blue a there were some big bruises on his body. I remember his dad was going ballistic but my recollection is that it was just his word against theirs and nothing ever came of it.

I don't recall why the detectives were even questioning him but he was one to be a bit of a petty thief at that age. His parents were always wanting him to hang around with me more because I would never let myself get involved with that crap.

  8. Sorry LEAPup but I fail to see what liberalism has to do with any of it...

Their actions are completely against what a real liberal stands for and no true liberal would condone their actions. Psychos who make up the "fake liberal" crowd may see things differently.

You would have a hard time making an argument that a corrupt police department has anything in common with the value of liberty.

I think that this has more to do with the "cowardly" generation of borderline psychos that has been raised over the last 20 years. It's obvious most of the cops in those videos just weren't right in the head. Liberalism is a movement that stood up to the "divine right of kings". By extension "the divine right of authority" to decide things for you... Since most of these psychos are the authority and are acting like kings who will never see justice you can see that they have nothing in common with liberals.

It seems that a lot of people these days snap much more easily than in previous generations and that there is a complete and total lack of self-control. Self-control is no longer a virtue that people aspire to...

    +1

Either that or any little stress sends them into berserker rage...

Cops are being trained to fight a war. They used to be trained to serve and protect.

Cops are issued and train with the latest and greatest weapons. And toys to maim and restrain.

    Most cops are former military.

    Easy math here....

I got laughed at around this place when I said the USA was turning into a police state a few years ago.

    Who is laughing now...not me

The USA is essentially turn key totalitarian as this point. If they ever really decide to organize any of the 3 or 4 letter national agencies and all local police forces into one organization in the name of "public safety" you best strap in for hell.

I agree. And back when I did the job, the police magazines laying around the office typically had ads for uniform stuff, light bars, etc., I saw one recently, and almost got sick, literally. The ads were for combat gear that's just a different color than what I wore in the Marines. :(
