Hey thanks guys... But that's just the way it goes... Negative sum game means negative sum game... You would have an edge at this game if the market payed you commissions to trade...! I still have 5 days but it doesn't matter now... Sweep to the downside got out of hand... Too many plays, too quickly... Only a small percentage of people can win at this and that's just because they're lucky and right at the same time. Any method you use will eventually blow up in your face... Most of you won't believe me but it will and you'll find out the hard way. I think I'm pretty much done with trading... It's been fun, had a blast... But I'm going to get a 9-5 day job now as well... Any job will do... Regards, CTD
I'd like to thank Michael Patak and Top Step Trader for putting on this exhibition... It's been fun...! I'd like to pass on my remaining 5 days to someone who wants to try their simulator and Combine... It won't count for anything but it might get you some experience before trying it for real.... That is if that's possible...!? You can continue to trade under my log in... Let me know if anyone is interested in this... first come, first serve...!
nazzdack- We always encourage anyone who has hit their loss limit to use the remaining time to develop and work on what is needed. Deliberative practice on a playing field with an out of bounds (ie. loss limit) can really help you develop or shorten your learning curve. We have classes each day that any recruit can attend when busted out or still good to go. We have recruits, funded trader, and those trading their personal account in the chat room, interacting with each other, sharing this or that about the market. Nobody acts like a know it all because we all know they don't know it all. A student of the market is what we all are, TST included. Working together makes this business that much better. mp
This is open to anyone 18 and over as we have you sign a trader agreement if selected for funding out of the Combine. mp
Cooltraderdude- I truly appreciate your attitude toward this and how you hold yourself. Good character. As for your thoughts on being done with trading.. I have quit this business 100 times (mentally) I'd bet. It is a love hate. My point is... the Combine helped you recognize that you may need to take time off or figure out what your direction is. Absolutely no shame in that. You did not have to lose thousands in the market to gain this feel. That is just one of the positives we have seen people get from being in the Combine. All in all .. thanks for taking time to give this a shot. You are welcome back to TST at any point, if you ever decide. mp ps. as an fyi our scout team provides feedback for all recruits (via phone, or email) on your trading upon completion of a Combine.
Well that sucks. go to demo. When you check the news releases in the a.m., and you see mam.econoday.com has a list as long as your arm, I would wait, take no trades for the first couple hours, see on the chart when the move of the day occurred? The one you want to be in on? After that long list was digested. Right on cue. Trust me on that one, it's part of my trading plan. Works. (If you do trade during that 2 hr window, keep a VERY open-mind and close profits frequently.) Some numbers for whipsaw scenario, we went from overbought down to oversold, unusual in a short window. 50% is 1452, 78% is 1455 and of course there is the prior close 57. Someone suggested that you just post updates at the end of the day. Great idea - it divorces yourself from the EGO. Talk about it at the end of the day. Keeps the mind clear. Divorce from ego.
CoolTraderDude I am considering doing a combine. If there is no other volunteers, I would not mind tryiong this out and finishing your combine.
