OK, looks like this is about to go viral. MP should set up the Fall ET Combine Special, max 10 or 20, whatever TST can reasonably handle. No fees, all must blog, Surf gets to write the feature article. Free banner promo ad on ET for the duration courtesy of Baron. Hell, I've no interest in prop but I'll do this as part of my bucket list.
1) My interpretation is you have to do "2 out of 3" for EACH market you trade, i.e. S&P, Euro, Crude Oil, Corn, 30-Year Bond et al. 2) If you trade "too many" markets, you could easily falter with one and have to repeat the process, unless an "accomodation/priviledge" is given. :eek:
if you can trade and need a backer,and profit within their system, they will back you,the 95% that can't will drop the x amount into the pockets of topstep and move on
Hello All, My plan is to start a custom Combine one week after next. If Top Step would help with the fee, I'd be willing to do a live journal on here. I all ready have a custom Combine approved. Here are the rules: Max contract: 15 Max daily loss: 3k Max account drawdown: 4k Account profit objective: 10k Number of days to trade: 20 out of 60 Overall Combine Winning Day % greater than 45 The rest is the same as the scouting criteria. Ok, Mav, let's get back to the rules, and bring up the points made by Crispy and nazzdack. You're making the same mistake in reading the rules, just as I did with the trading plan, which Laissez corrected. Take note of "AND" vs. "OR". It's in the fine print, just as nazzdack stated. Here's what it says under "Scouting Critera", quoted VERBATIM from the site: "Additionally, each product traded during the Combine must meet at least TWO of the performance requirements listed below AND have a trading average greater than zero ($0):" So if you traded ES, NQ, and CL, and were positive on ES and NQ but LOST on CL (i.e. had a trading average BELOW zero), then you would NOT have met the criteria, according to the above statement. The fine print may cause one to misread the "AND" as "OR". However, as you posted, you can create the custom critera and write up your own combine to have the rule state "OR" instead of "AND", or simply have it eliminated and see if they'll accept it.
OK, I see what you are saying. I think this might be an error on their part. I've seen too many combines get funded without meeting this and they can't all be custom combines. I've noticed they are a little sloppy sometimes on the details and they need to amend things. Maybe Michael can straighten this out on Monday. If that statement is true, just take it out on the custom combine, Problem solved.
Yeah wtf. Now everyone wants to do a combine? When did this happen? You know what would be fun is to setup a tournament or an ET challenge and keep standings and stuff. Not sure how this would look. Could be a round robbin like tournament or maybe just a scoreboard. I don't know, there's probably a way to do this which will be good for business for them and get more of ET involved and make it fun. If Surf gets involved, this thing is going to go viral for sure. I'm afraid it might shut down the ET servers. Baron will have to think about this.
