Cookies Question

I don't know what I did, but all of the sudden I'm having a problem when I click the ET logo/link to get back to the home page from a thread: Login is required again manually.

I usually have restrictions on my cookies, but right now they are in "non-resticted" mode and the problem remains.

When I enter ET from another domain or my bookmark, I have no problems... The cookie remembers the username and password... No manual login required. But as soon as I click the ET logo/link, I need to log in again.

The FAQ/Help page refers to Cookie options, which apparently are non-existant on the account options page it links to.

Also you may have some sites listed as blocked from using cookies, check to make sure EliteTrader is not listed.

Thanks, but your kidding me. Right?

I'm aware of my browser's (firefox) optional preferences. ET isn't blocked; all restrictions are also off. Any further suggestions/direction would be appreciated though.

BTW, where's ET's cookie options as mentioned in the FAQ. nonexistent?

Well I've played around with it some more (deleting all and restarting browser, etc) and to no avail.

Here's the cookies I have listed for ET related:

bbpassword
sessionhash
bbuserid
bbthreadview
bblastvisit

statcounter.com [session_823661]

This is pretty weird:

Entering ET from my bookmark which is no problem the url is http://elitetrader.com

If I enter ET and then go to any other ET sub-directory and then hit the ET logo/link icon to return back to the home page, I get the url http://www.elitetrader.com... AND I have a problem.


Here's the weird part:

If I enter ET via bookmark (http://elitetrader.com) and DON'T go to any threads (Any other link: training; chat; brokers; hardware; etc... is OK)... then hit the ET logo/link icon I go back to http://elitetrader.com... AND I have No problem.

Am I missing a cookie?
